go for it teo! i'll back pedrosa for the top 5 too!

Pedrosa?! 51Kg, utterly inexperienced in Laguna Seca, never been there before, on a big bike thats difficult to maneuver at the best of times that becomes impossible down the corkscrew? I will take that bet any day of the week, and also bet that he'll fall at least once during the weekend.

It's only now that I've noticed teo's name changed... then I remembered the bet.

I think it's 50-50 for Dani: (1) if he's able to learn the track fast for the race, I think he'll get on the top 5. (2) if he doesn't, either he crash out or finish out of the top 5.

Predictions:

Rossi
Hayden
undecided for the 3rd

The 'Zooks will be on top form and as long as the Bridgestones can keep up, they will run up front.

suzukis should do well at L.S. i think .... the riders are both confident here ... the only thing i think that will heed a good result is the tyres, for sure...

go chris!

lol .... your asking for it again, mavis ... dani aint gonna get a top five finish at laguna

Errgh I hate trying to predict the hard ones!

1. Hayden (Still his turf)
2. Rossi (Might win, but I think he`s more likely to end up here. Depends how he qualifies. He might just need that universe-shattering 9th spot.)
3. Edwards (As if Yamaha will neglect him here. They`re not that obsessed with the golden child yet. Look out for the pre-crash Assen Colin. Just to stir things up, he`s better than Roberts

)

Personally, I think Dani will struggle but we'll see how it goes.

The rain soaked race one at Road America 2005. I was there, amazing stuff. Six inch deep puddles scattered all around the track.

Rossifumi, awesome avatar. Katt, awesome siggy.

Ok if Colin wins this weekend i think i WILL cry with jubilation, joy, happiness, and an overwhelming sense of elation and relief.

Head says...
1. Rossi (lightning doesnt strike twice)
2. Hayden
3. Edwards

Heart says...
1.<span style="font-size:36pt;line-height:100%Edwards!!!! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE...
2. Hopper (man oh man would a first podium feel good if it was 2nd AND in the USA)
3. Hayden

1)Hayden
2)Rossi
3)KRJR
4)Hopkins
5)Edwards

This is the one race I don't believe Marco will do well in. He HATES this track especially after crashing 3 times last year.
Dani will struggle but will be in the top 8 riders.

I`m not sure about Pedrosa. The general opinion is that he`ll struggle, but Skid made some good points about the physics of the corkscrew, how they might actually work in Dani`s favour, and it wouldn`t be the first time Pedrosa has pulled a surprise against the odds this season. I don`t think he`ll make the podium, simply because it will be full of more deterimined riders with more experience, such as the three that ended up in the box last year, all of whom want the top spot this year. They`re taking this as the most important race of the season, and they`re gonna be on fire. Dani hasn`t got much to match that in California. But beyond the top few spots, I`m not willing to predict his sucess. And I got a funny feeling that Dani will impress this weekend.

Sound`s like a good achivement, but hardly in the "Greats" field with Doohan, is it?
