KTM will be on track alongside its future MotoGP rivals for the first time during next week's test in Austria.

The factory has confirmed to Crash.net that they will attend the private two-day outing at their home Red Bull Ring circuit, venue for August's return of the Austrian Grand Prix.

All the current manufacturers are due to attend, although Honda will rely on its satellite teams rather than the Repsol squad, whose riders Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa recently lapped the track on road bikes.

Casey Stoner (Ducati) and Sam Lowes (Aprilia) are also due to ride.

KTM, which has signed Bradley Smith and Pol Espargaro for its 2017 race team, has been conducting an extensive development programme with the likes of Mika Kallio, Randy de Puniet, Alex Hofmann and Thomas Luthi.

The RC16 is expected to make its race debut as a wild-card entry in this year's Valencia season finale.
