I know this is gonna be discussed in the Mugello race thread, but Jorge's ride from today deserves its own 10 pager IMHO.

Wouldn't call myself a fan of his but what a show that was. So fast and so amazingly flawless. Leading the whole race.

He might not have won his Ducati bet if you look at the big picture (at least so far) but that doesn't matter today.

KUDOS JORGE. You earned this one!

I think one thing is for sure. If he finds himself back on a factory Yamaha next year the official riders are going to have a hard time keeping up.

I'm so happy for him. It was a typical Jorge race, he hasn't lost his mojo. I hope that the problem was indeed the fuel tank and this trend carries on to the next races!!

Chris Vermeulen on the Australian coverage said Ducati want to keep him, just for much less money, so perhaps he has contributed to the bike, if not by his own results before now.

You are quite likely closer to events than Chris is though.

I unluckily wasn't able to go to Mugello this year, so i watched it on TV.

In the Italian interview he got asked very openly if he thinks he's staying or not, he answered "it's too late to decide to stay".
 
Good win for Jorge, but does it mean he can win consistently on the Ducati from now on, or is it just a one hit wonder? If it's the latter , then he should be back on a Yamaha.

Softer tyre, flowing circuit, love of Mugello, high track temperature.

What do you reckon?

If he continues like this, there isn't too late.

It was more like F you Ducati, I don't think he meant it.

-What do you mean softer tyre?He just made the correct call, but Duc always run softer compounds.
-Yes flowing circuit with a big straight -love for Duc. But that wasn't the case last year for Jorge, was it?
-There were high temperatures at France as well, and at many tracks. But he didn't win.

OK, of course conditions were slightly in favour, but something else has indeed changed. And there's a high probability that it is structural changes on the bike, fuel tank in particular.
