James Ellison Has Left Moto GP

So much is has gone on with Hayden recently that I think we need some more Britishly news. James Ellison has left Moto GP to pilot the Honda CBR1000R Superbike for the 2007 AMA season.

I'm kinda pumped...i think we need more talent in ama on a level that can compete with the Suzuki teams.
I really really wanted Xaus to come over!!

Xaus won't be coming over, he's going to be very fast this year I can assure you; and I think this is a good move for James, although I can't help but think what would've happened if James And Carlos weren't on Shitlops last year.
 
Xaus reckons he is going to be extremely fast next year on the new 800 (coming from himself), so he won't be moving anywhere as of yet.
 
I rode with James Ellison yesterday!! We were ridding the new endurance machine and trying to find a descent setup for Fontana and I was out there trying to put in some hot laps in the afternoon. I was coming into the long double apex left hander at the end of the short straight and this bike with a lime on the side dive bombed my ... coming into the corner. I was like WTF?!?!?! So I latched on to his ... and I new I was going to get a chance to return the favor 4 corners up the track. So this right hander comes up and here I come hard on the breaks and pointed to the inside when he slid all the way to the inside and I had to pull out of the move. This pissed me off again. I decided to latch on his ... untill he hits the pits and then I am going to give him a piece of my mind for the dive bomb move he put on me. It was a track day after all and no one is going to win any trophies for F&#k's sake. The hole time I am thinking, "who does this guy think he is with this dumb ... Corona Extra paint job. Well 4 laps later he pulls in and I am still behind him and I follow him in. He pulled into a tint with a small crew and that immediately got me thinking. So I pull up still pissed and going to lay into him when I see him take his helmet off and I realize exactly who it is. So I role by and say "Great ridding with you mate!"

I am such a ..... and was completely star stuck.

Not only was I star struck a little bit, but it shot my ego through the roof!! Last night I was just thinking, "I held with James Ellison for 5 laps!" Then this morning I realized that this was his first time on that bike and his first time at that track. But my excitement kept me awake for the drive home though. I was thinking the whole way home, "screw law school, I am going to make a career out of this." By the time I woke up this morning I had come to my senses.

That's the killer, whenever something like that happens you're thinking. how hard was he really going? Great story though, I love stuff like that.
 
If Xaus is on an 800CC machine, he might have difficulty keeping up with the 1200CC superbikes
<
Would be funny to watch him try though....

Ah, that explains why the damn track day was sold out for months. I tried to get on but it had been sold out two months ago. I guess somebody knew already that he would be there.

I didn't know anything about the trackday until last week. One of my buddies I race with called me up and asked if I wanted to go because he had a spot and we could share the ride. I was like, "hell yeah!" There were a lot of people there.

I will post up a couple pics so if anyone was there they will know who I was.

Yeah, you got lucky to get a spot. That's a very nice looking machine, I ended up going canyon riding up Azusa to Mt. Baldy. I did want to make it out to Fontana but like I said, it had been sold out. Perhaps next time.

I'm not much of an Ellison fan (I guess cuz I don't know much about him). But you should have socked him in the mouth for that nasty move he did on you.

Or an ... whipping from a mechanic. Besides, I tried at that right hander and he honestly didnt look safe to go around if you know what I mean.
