Just drive about 10 miles West on Sahara
Some of the boards I've been on frown on arrival posts and have been known to maul noobs who indulge themselves in such. Here you guys seem to encourage it and a friend who knows I love RR recommended the site so I'll give it a shot.

To say I'm old school is a bit of an understatement. My first racing hero was Gary Nixon starting back when he won Daytona on his 500 against the KR's. I've always followed all two wheeled racing genre's dirt or pavement but I think at the moment MotoGP is the best racing going with WSBK a close second.

Anyway, let's have some fun.

I keep hearing about other forums. I have yet to find a site that is dedicated to MotoGP like this one here.

All the others are racing sites that have maybe a a handful of people with knowledge of the bikes, and the others try to nod their heads or make comments that make them look foolish.

Nope noob. We are more of a family here than you'll find on most sites.

2,022 member. Sheesh, I am in the 400's when I joined 2 years ago. That is amazing how big this site has grown. True only a few have really stayed, but that is a crazy number.

Nixon sent that to me when I ordered a t-shirt, he wrote the "King Kenny" in. I e-mailed him back and told him that in '73 I was leaning across on that little pit fence at the Peoria TT and I asked Roberts who had won Laguna the week before. Roberts said "Nixon, I broke a chain". Gary e-mailed right back "Chain or no chain, I had him covered that day!". Typical Nixon, very cool guy.

Welcome. I just joined myself and this is one of the best forums. Some would say that you need thick skin around here but you usually won't get flamed until you start talking pationatly about the sport that we all love. In that case almost anything seems to be fair game.

Soooo who is your favorite rider currently so we can segregate you into the right group

Well, I really don't like pedrosa. I think Val and Casey are both class acts all the way around. I'd really like to see Nicky up there again and who doesn't like Colin. Over all I love a series where any one of a half dozen guys can bust out and win one on a given Sunday. Which is why I'd like to see Marco on something he feels comfortable on. Hopper, I'm on the fence, aways kind of saw him as coming out of nowhere and going nowhere plus I liked KRJR so you know how that went.

This forum really rocks. I have not posted much but i like reading all the knowledgeable and semi-knowledgeable rants going on. But having said that it seems to be a family over here (after all the bitchings and fights).
