interview with Lorenzo (in italian)

So says the joker who calls Rossi a clown and calls anyone who offers any criticism of Stoner a 'bopper'.

Fact is I've said all along that independent of the bike, Stoner's performances at Ducati regressed as time went on. That is Keshav's biggest problem with me because he can't accept that.

Still, being on his ignore list is preferable to being on his cyber-stalk list
<
.

Oddly stoner's performances seem to have improved this year, whilst rossi's by your argument would seem to have deteriorated last year, and even further this year.

The reality is that Rossi and Stoner dominate this forum.

Sure, I appreciate that, which is understandable given their command over Grand Prix Motorcycle Racing. I can't ever recall two riders creating such a vociferous polarisation amongst their following, but although I am neutral I have to say from what I've observed at races, I'd largely prefer to be amongst Stoner fans in this respect.

Stoner is on a hiding to nothing. If he wins it's the bike, and when he was on the Ducati he'd lost his touch.

Purely in the racing stakes - it's so gratifying to be unaffiliated; whereby I can enjoy a race like Phillip Island 2009 - which quite frankly was explicit motorcycle racing .......obscene amounts of talent on display - and celebrate IMO the two greatest motorcycle racers on the planet push one another to 110%.....and I don't care who wins.

Why don't you try actually enjoying Casey as a rider and racer?...just accept him as he is off track, perhaps someone you don't particularly care for, as I have done with Valentino, and savour his raw talent instead.

In the meantime why not start a new thread about I dunno, Hector Barbera, or the Johnny Rea rocket which was lit and shoved up Toni Elias's arse prior to Le Mans.

Unfortunately Rossi's been left to fix the mess Stoner left behind

That's absolute garbage and nothing short of trolling
<

Given 'the mess that Stoner left behind', ergo and in accordance with your self defeating logic, then the bike was also a mess throughout the 2010 season. Oddly enough Rossi aficionados such as yourself were insisting throughout last season that it was one of the best packages on the grid - but that was before the Messiah swung a leg over it and found like his predecessors he also couldn't ride it like Casey. A mess it is then - a mess which Casey managed to wrestle onto the rostrum a total of nine races - of which three were wins - which in view of your contention that the bike is a mess, makes his achievements last season nothing less than heroic. It would have been more as you well know, had it not been for that pesky lack of front end feel which is currently also confounding the Doctor in his attempt to prescribe a remedy. He will - with the assistance of a squillion Euro's from Bologna which hitherto weren't so forthcoming to the previous incumbent (not as if haven't we seen a similar scenario before), and when he does, like I have said I believe that he'll be indomitable. But don't detract away from Casey's achievements on what has now been revealed to be a very difficult machine to master, set up and evolve.

Do you attribute this 'mess' solely to Stoner then?

That is one jaundiced view.

The other is - Rossi is scrambling to equal Stoner's results on the Ducati in order to disprove

the widely held belief that much of his accomplishments were largely founded on having the best

mechanics, crew chief, tires and equipment, by coming within miles of Stoner's accomplishments

on the same bike. You know what they say: It's a poor worker who blames his tools.

When did I say that? I criticised Stoner for crashing so often, but I never said Ducati were on the same level as Yamaha in 2010.

My whole arguments centers around Stoner's drop-off in performance.

I thought I was on your ignore list for my hate-filled posts?
<

Also, let's be clear about this - Rossi has more points now than Stoner did this time last year.

So all those people criticising Rossi might want to keep that in mind in their warped sense of reality. No doubt this is down to the engineers though

Saw your post on Arrib's post and couldn't resist injecting some

objectivity here. I notice your emoticon and can't help thinking

that you feel your having momentarily gained my attention is

some kind of triumph. Don't get too pumped up about it. My

dog gets my attention dozens of time a day.

says the cyber-stalker :lol

But has Rossi won a race on it yet
<

You probably start spouting about how great Rossi is as the great fixer ........ when he has fixed something
<
<

But he was running at or near the front, not lagging around in 5-6- 7th on a pace that would have him 15 seconds in arrears by the end of the race. Even i could run a pace that would guarantee a finish, but Casey isnt wired that way. He went for wins, knowing the front could let him down at every turn. Maybe he is just braver than Rossi.

There is such a thing as stupidity as well. 33% crash rate is a much higher risk that your career will end.
