<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (roger-m @ Sep 15 2008, 11:19 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>says "will join ducati".

In an interview played on RPM (channel 10 in Australia) yesterday afternoon he was asked directly where he would be in 2009.

He went on to praise Casey and the way he rides the Ducati as many had struggled on it and that he 'hoped he could come to grips with it next year'.

It was also mentioned that he 'had looked good in red in the past' to which he replied 'yeah, sure did and will again'.

Whilst nothing official, near enough done and with the latest release from Honda this likely clears the way for his announcement.

Did you miss the bit were they said the track had been diamond cut to give the bikes extra grip, which is why they managed to stay up-right doing those speeds in that weather!

Apart from Julian and Toby, ROSSI, Hayden and stoner compented on this in after race interviews.

I can't wait for the confirmation- final post 1st page!

Could somebody please let me push the ban button when the time comes?

I concur to quite a degree with lex's view of dorna, but I think it is somewhat harsh to criticise them for being unable to control hurricanes.

From what I saw online the track is very good. It looks different than European track because it is a track within a track and not the main circuit but the riders have the final say. If they like it then I like it. I will be at Indy next year and I now I know exactly where I want to sit. Considering the weather (and I am just north of there in Southern Ontario Canada so we shared in the storm somewhat) it was a pretty amazing show of courage by the riders to ride at all. 298kms/hr in the rain? Astonishing.

It's Tony George. The guy who owns the speedway. He is bad luck. F1 ran from there as fast as they could. Anything that guy touches turns to ..... The Indy Racing League. On the verve of death. The Indy 500 is the free pass to a Nascar ride.

I do not mind the track, a Assen feel to it. The new Assen.

hehehe...obviously an ..... called Pinky the clown is posting here just to annoy people and u? u react! dont! dont feed the troll....

I was there and i can tell you,its was not a half ... event.Indy knows how to put on a race, they cant do anything about the weather. Is there some things needing improved,of course but even the teams will tell you it was not half ....Crowd control was oppressive to me,you were herded where they wanted you to go and most bike people are not the herding type.I like to wonder around, which you could do,but only in the directions they determined.Traffic control was amazing, they have it down to a science, even in terrible weather conditions. The food was above average and the prices were not bad.The work force was amazing, in numbers and in ability. It was first class all the way.The facility itself is amazing, when you walk into the gates, you get chill bumps if you know any of the history of the place.

"We are really happy to have Nicky join us," declared Claudio Domenicali, Ducati Corse CEO and Ducati Motor Holding Product Director. "We are certain that his never-say-die attitude, riding style and character will be great additions to our team in 2009. I would like to thank HRC for allowing Nicky to start testing our bike immediately after the Valencia Grand Prix."

Well if that isn't confirmation then I don't know what is. I guess Pinky is gone now.
