So you think Indy paid Dorna more than the asking price to bribe them to stay. You obviously have not kept up with the George family over the years. These are the same people that told F1 to .... off because of their fees, and would have zero problem telling GP the same thing. They got this race because they are experts at putting on an event, and both parties made money, period. When that stops happening, Indy will tell them to hit the "bricks".

I never said anything about bribes. But they are very influential - because they are so well established (like Walmart) - and have so many built-in connections to media and so on, making it all easier for Dorna. But what is easy is not necessarily what is best; hence the pop tart reference. See? MotoGp is all about state-of-the-art racing, and should not be presenting at venues not equal to the show itself - simply because it's convenient.

Geez, peeps sounding like Stoner.

Its a simple as this, Indy stepped up to provide another GP round, if that doesnt happen, that round would be eliminated and the East would be SOL. Its a simple question, do u want more GP or less? If GP came to race at Disneyland, i would welcome it. I dont get what the peeps are complaining about. And given the willingness of Indy to appease those divas, they may even run it the other way (which to me makes zero sense as its still turns to be negotiated, and that it provides an extra layer of challenge is a good thing to me). And

Yeah and you were so welcoming and outspoken about the single make tyre rule and look where thats got the sport !

Wide speculation in the Indy media, was that Moto GP was going the way of F1 at Indy. Dorna wanted to change the date to fit their needs, Indy said we can run it one week earlier, but anything else is out of the question. As far as state of the art facility, even Krop said Indy was as good as it gets, it just has a track that the riders and some fans dont find inspiring. I would venture a guess, that when it comes to facilities, Indy can hold its own with any track.

In an earlier reply to you I differentiated between the fine "facility" and the uninspired track layout. Why do you continue to confuse the

two with each other? I don't care how nice the seats are, or how fresh the hotdogs are, or how clean the bathrooms are. I don't care if they're giving away solid gold beer cozies. It's the track that leaves me (and a lot of other die-hard GP fans) cold.

I care about all those things. Solid gold beer cozies, hav u checked the price of gold lately? It hit an all time record today.

Dont exaggerate about the track, its decent, its just not a cookie cutter track. Did u know we once had a thread dedicated to how uninspiring and characterless Qatar is? I remember peeps saying same about China GP. U just cant please everybody. Like i said, u eliminated the stands and the track is fine. Yes, flat, but we hav 3 other circuits just as flat. Maybe they can CGI out all the stands for the ever so critical 'TV audience' eh? While theyre at it maybe they can CGI in fans at Qatar? And CGI out the boo birds at Misano. CGI in some warm weather at PI? How about CGI some elevation changes at Assen? Maybe they can CGI in a British race winner at Silverstone, eh? (right Roger?)

You guys are all freakin' idiots...... ESPECIALLY some of you dumb Americans in here. USA doesn't have 1 superb facility capable of holding such a large event on a world wide scale, in this case MotoGP other then Indy..... which coincedently also hosts F1. It's a ...... track, yes.... but the venue is the only venue in America considered 'acceptable' by their standards. Laguna is a piss poor wannabe European facility that is 'passable' at best. Don't even give me that.... oohhh what about Road America cuz it's such a long track with pretty litle birds singing in the forest scenery bullcrap. Cuz that track sucks ..., it just goes long straight..... left turn..... go about another mile down another straight..... a right turn...... now go straight again for 2 miles until you see that pretty litle deer in the forest..... make a left. Now start all over again. LoL..... it's a fuccin joke of a track... you idiots only like it cuz its long and has 'scenery'. Don't even let me mention about the facility, granted I've never been there.... but just from observation on TV, its ameutrish club racing accomodations at best, and this we are talking about MotoGP going there. Hahahaha.... you Americans are funny. And yes.... I'm an American so I can talk my .....

1. Reminds me of when Gerald Ford's disgraced Secretary of Agriculture (1976) had to resign his position after being quoted as saying: "I'll tell you what the coloreds want. It's three things: first, a tight .....; second, loose shoes; and third, a warm place to ....."

2.That's why "Chops" said he won't be coming back to LA any time soon. He's afraid the homies will jack his dentures.

Just curious, why on Earth would my post remind you of Butz quote? Please, explain the connection and series of thoughts.

Btw, I don't think Butz was too off the mark, its exactly what I always want too.

It was a sideways reference to your tongue-in-cheek reply in which you almost appear to give credence to the idea that the creature comforts (regardless of the deficiencies of the track itself) at Indy were sufficient reason to attend the race.

For the record, I'm no fan of Qatar or Sepang either - but in those countries there is a dearth of options.

Ah, and here I thought it was in response to my "CGI a British winner" thinking that you were comparing Butz quote to what Brits want out of GP. (just kidding people, just kidding)

Gotta be honest, Indy ain't a track I like but...I would love to go see it and also if it means we have a bike race on that weekend opposed to not having a bike race, then I am all in favour. The more races the better for me

They are talking about moving Brno after Indy. That way, there would be 2 races in a 2 week period in the states. They say they would leave the equipment here and the riders could go back to Europe if they had obligations, or could tour the states for a while in between races
