The fantasy League has a problem...

Ilmor GP Team Principal Mario Illien today announced that the team will not be attending the second round of the MotoGP World Championship next week in Jerez. The teams’ race attendance has been suspended for the immediate future however engine development will continue and Illien expects for the team to return to the MotoGP racing scene as soon as key financial partners have been secured.

not really a problem. just the folks who have ilmor for team or engine or their riders is well really the same as if they were still going to be on track. lets face it they were throw aways. space fillers for budget purposes.

I had them because I am going for points. Ok, I really had them because that was all I could afford.
 
Is anything going to happen about this as far as credit, or free transfer out of team or engine....i understand they were for budget purposes but still there is absolutly no possiblity for points at least with the team in there was still a fluke chance of points ya know??
 
If they use the time out of the races to improve the bike to at least compete with Tech 3 Yamaha and Kawasaki maybe then having them may not be such a bad thing if they score points in the future.

However i would still like a free swap to Honda!
 
Surely with a fantasy league being a measure of how well you can predict, knowledge of the sport and of course luck (which you make yourself

). So is it not right that people should have foreseen this event was in the making and decided not to have Ilmor. Therefore the HUGE penalty of Ilmor not racing is just a result of ability of selection in the fantasy league

I know Ilmor are rubbish but i hoped they would hang around and get me a few points in races where few bikes finish. Like Catalunya last year where only 11 finished i think.

steady start (see another thread) with honda always getting 8+ points then with the rewards i can ring the changes to push out in front.

I wasn't planning to mention this for a while but i have a secret weapon too...i'm planning to break my rule of never dancing. In the build up to jerez i will be undertaking a heavily spiritual rain dance (under the guidance of burky naturally) and so pouring hot water (literally) on your plans, as rainbows shine in the distance, due to an awesome wet race

The reason I call it a problem for the Fantasy league is that it's a problem for Ben...now he has to figure out what the hell to do without that bottom level budget team.

Not saying he should do this at all but if I were in control of the league I would decrease Ilmor's value by a few million.
