He must know something we don't. I'd say Michelin will have their hands full looking after four M1's and two factory RCV's. Too busy to worry about a bridgestone rider getting used to Michelins in a one-man sattelite team. Strange decision?? Why trade a factory bike on the best rubber for a sattelite snail on michelins????

Ah, I think West is a shoe in. If money had anything to do with it, then West would be more than willing to race for bread and water just to show he is a capable and underrated rider.

I find it really strange unless he knew that Kawi was not going to keep him. But with West and Hopper Kawi is set if it works out this way. I don't see DP going to Kawi because the baggage Puig would go with him and there might be some ...friction?
What is it with the basic lack of respect going around between riders and team bosses this year? First Loris being told about Melandri only through the press, now Randy not bothering to let his team know first about this deal. Isn't that illegal? I mean, imagine I work for a company, and then I move to a rival company and the first thing my old company knows about it is when it appears on the internet? Thats gotta be illegal.

Ok so bridgestones are the tyre to have this year but michelin have been making racing tyres for yonks and very good ones at that , they'll be back next year .
Hope Westy gets the nod.

Depends, I speak the same language as many of the members on the forum, but often disagree, whereas if we spoke different languages we wouldn't have any problems.

Sorry but I gotta be a parochial aussie & say that I also hope that Westy gets the nod.
I think after all the years of trials & tribulations he's had that the man is deserving of at least one solid & stable year in MotoGP, even if only to see what he's really capable of...
In a way I feel some gratitude toward Randy if Ant gets the final nod so I hope that it works out well there in LCR territory for him as well!

Shinya made that bike what it is (was). He had a falling out with the team management when they left him high and dry while all the other teams were out testing their 800s.
That management is gone now, and he has seen the 800. Bring him back and give him a second chance. He's certainly earned it more than West has!
