HRC wants Pedrosa, but not Puig

I feel as though HRC get what they want. Pedrosa may be unwilling to sign a contract with Honda without a place in the team for Puig at this moment. But will that still be the case if he's still unsigned and the seats at Yamaha and Ducati are taken? I think Pedro needs Honda more than Honda needs Pedro.
 
There is now talk (on motogp matters) of ducati being interested in lorenzo. I am sure he could ride any bike, but whether he can develop one which is what ducati would seem to primarily require at present, is another question.

I actually think this bodes well for Lorenzo. He could easily go to Honda if Dani holds on to Puig. I see a seat swap coming! BTW, Dani needs Puig to setup his bike and can't afford to lose him.

i agree. Dani may hold out and apear to box puigs corner but not to the extent of losing his seat. dani will stay and puig will go. Mabe dani has indicated he has not come up with the good because of puigs direction ??

I think you've stumbled upon HRC's problem with Puig. He's not crew chief and he has no real position within the team. Puig is just an important Dorna stooge who has weaseled his way into Dani's pitbox by acting as his keeper.

He needs to go fishing for talent in Moto2, and he needs to stay out of the pitbox unless he's simply there for moral support. I think it's obvious that Puig attempts to provide more than moral support.

Why did the top of HRC bother to make an announcement that basic agreements are made with Dani and Andrea when Dani did not seem to be ready to make it public? The rumor about Puig may be true. Is he that bad?
