Honda or Yamaha; which will suffer the most from change to Michelins?

I agree more with you than the alternative proposition. I think Honda will produce a bike more to his liking and MM will crash less, but unless Honda have a really major technical advantage he will continue to crash particularly if he keeps his current crew, and along with them his current mindset.

If he doesn't gel with the Michelins - I expect you'll be right. But if Honda makes a MM friendly bike, I think he will return to his pre 2015 form. He's a big kid and it's clear he freaked out after a disastrous start to the season. He'll have all winter to absorb all the things he did wrong this season. I don't think he's the brightest guy in the paddock - but he has a will to win. I can't imagine that Honda won't be having some serious sit-downs with him. Other riders have suffered .... season and come back to win championships. I reckon his biggest challenge will be adjusting to the Michelins.

The guy is obviously an extraordinarily fast rider, but no tactician in my view, and his crew are even dumber. I think he is capable of dominating again with the right equipment, but whilst I expect improvement from Honda I don't foresee massive technical dominance, given Yamaha seem to have their act together and have in their employ a rider with a rather good record for leading development.

As well as my being in partial agreement with Jumkie that he had some luck with crashing in his 2 championships, his mindset seems to be to attempt to dominate and intimidate his competitors, which is hardly tempered by his crew, and I think he will continue to crash if the Yamahas are reasonably competitive with him next year given this approach.

One thing for Honda is that they have given up for this season and are already concentrating on the 2016 material. They had five different 2016 prototypes at the Aragon tests. While Yamaha are concentrated on the cahmpionship with two riders and are postponing ther eal tests for 2016.b SO it is possibole that Honda will show an initial advantage in adapting to Michelin.

I burned through...oh must be all of a whole dozen Michelins...
very representative of MotoGP spec, too. Utter .... in the wet or the dry. Kinda OK in hot and dry.
And what were they called?
BOPPERS.
Based on this firsthand experience, I believe the MotoGP spec tyres will be unpleasant and difficult to bead on the rim.

Just curious... on what kind of bike?
