Yeah I watched that, too bad really. Still managed to ride around and gather a top 5. Shows the depth of the AMA field doesn't it?

Yeah the racing is generally pretty good, especially when they can keep Mladin honest. To be honest the support classes are even more exciting than the Superbike class, there is a lot of young talent that should be racing superbikes such as Tommy Hayden, Roger Hayden, Jason DiSalvo, and Aaron Gobert but are not because Kawasaki and Yamaha won't put together a Superbike effort, although there are a lot of rumors going around for 2006 with both factories. Then again that was the story last year as well. As far as the track goes it is garbage, anytime they go to a speedway and use the infield I hate it. It's really dangerous with the wall and the speeds they achieve aren't worth the risk. Not to mention how terribly boring and poorly designed the infields are. If you watch AMA often be sure to check out the round of Road America at Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. It is June 3-5 I believe, that is a big horsepower track with lots of heavy braking zones. Another good place that was always fun to watch was the Brainerd International Raceway round, a straight over a mile long and the fastest turn in the country. It's too bad the ownership is terrible and didn't maintain the facility because it's no longer on the schedule and will very likely be destroyed to make room for a resort. Lots of useless information there but I know a fair amount about all the tracks on the AMA schedule, especially Road America and Brainerd.
