<
and im looking to make some friends as well
<
I'm not really that brainy when it comes down to race talk ect lol
<
but i try as much as i can
<
well just though of saying hi and start talking with othere motogp fans
<

Just out of intrest is this the official motogp forum? as on the motogp site there dosn't seem to be one.

Thank You

Welcome to the site!
<

This ain`t the official forum, mate. But motogp.com steal our ideas
<
This forum is the brainchild of our genius administrator, Ben. He puts a lot of work into it, that`s why it looks real pro like an official site.
If you wanna learn, just post away when you dont understand, you`ll no doubt get a lot of info from different perspectives in reply.
As far as racing goes, if you`re serious talk to Skidmark or Topcat. They`re both clued in road racers. They`re also both Irish, but they don`t bite
<

If you wanna race youre probably far better off doing it for fun rather than trying to be the next Rossi. I`d like to go club racing one day when I get the money.

g'day and welcome matey

we aren't the official MGP forum, but we're still a bloody good one!
<

have fun!

skidmark and topcat are road racers? ... i must be blind, dumb or just not reading the right posts ...
and just coz they're irish don't mean they bite ... they just drink guiness .... alot of guiness

the official site stopped doing a forum...... emmmm.. uuu... if i remember correctly, 5 years ago. it was un moderated & was getting out of hand. there were a lot of people posting alot of ignorant .... just to piss other people off. it was actually quite funny at times, but alot of people took things too seriously & complained. it was turning into a mud slinging shitfest. lot's of insults & personal attacks. so they shut it down & replaced it with live chat. that was kinda interestig but they dumped that also.

Well as i know its proberly really hard to get into motogp and you have to be rich
<
which im not. So as i know i wouldn't get that big, What's club raceing? Dose the races were they like race around streets and circuits whats not as big as motogp cost around the same?

Club racing is where many racers get their start if they weren't groomed to ride at age three like Valentino Rossi. There are many associations around the globe so you will race at nearby tracks against other local riders. The cost is considerably cheaper because of proximity there is no need to travel globally and you don't need a factory kit to participate. Many riders race with bikes right off the showroom floor. Hope that helped some.

Ooost is right, club racing is just that- a racing club. It`s just like any sports club. You buy a bike, sign up with yer local club, do all the paperwork, race licence ect, set your bike up for the track, which can be anything from putting high octane fuel in it to wrapping a Harris custom frame around a Turbo Suzuki 1100 engine and decking it out with the best forks, wheels, tyres, ect. Then take it to your local track and race with like minded individuals.
No racing is cheap, but club racing is the cheapest you`ll get. Its just racing for fun, its not professional or anything.
