Hi all,

Joined the forum today. I am 30 years old and from Europe - I love motoGP and a big Rossi fan

I ride motorcycle myself and have a brand new s1000rr from 2011, bought it three weeks ago so I am still in that over enthousiastic starting phase
<

Any other BMW / s1000rr owners out here? Please let me know, since I am very interested if and what you guys have added/adjusted to your bike?

hey there

europe is a big place
<

i don't know if theres much you can do to really improve the bike, the s1000rr is a neat package when it leaves the factory.

i know a guy who wanted to sit a bit more upright so he installed a lsl superbike handlebar but for my taste the bmw is already quite comfortable.

a good thing about the higher handlebar is that the bike is even more willing to change direction but then again its not exactly a heavy bike to begin with

exhaust wise i'd stick with the stock pipe, no other exhaust has that brilliant screaming when you really open the throttle and you won't get extra hps (not that anybody would need them)

electronics are awesome but i've heard that some pros install a different system because the wheelie control on the pre 2012 models is a bit rough.

Belgium to be exact (thought everyone was from the US on this forum)

Just ordered a new akrapovic (end piece of the exhaust - don't know the english name for it) for some serious screaming:

(this is not an Ad for Akrapovic

I also want to have a black sports window at the front maybe. I am not an experienced driver so don't know much about the wheelie control (I still have one test to go for my driver's license
<
and I got the bike just three weeks ago. I usually ride it in rain-mode with traction control , don't really do wheelies on it - at least not at the moment.

Thanks for your reaction - good stuff...
