Given the choice, hmm which will he choose????
I'm not sure what happened when I clicked on the link but it took me to another forum thread. Ben, I think there is a glitch. Once I copied and posted the URL it worked out fine.

Anyway, thanks for the link Doc. It’s very interesting indeed. The plot thickens and I'm on pins and needles. Half of me says .... Honda, get out while you still have youth and career. Another part of me is nervous about Ducati, where by all rights, he would be #2 on a unique and strange bike already shown to be a mystery.

Now I'm not gonna sugar coat it, but Dovi does look promising. He's done well enough that he has made Nicky look bad as a factory rider. But to me this doesn’t mean he lost his seat at factory Honda, just as much as he didn’t deserve to lose his seat when Marco beat him in the 07 classification. Though I could make a case why Nicky has suffered his results apart from general poor rider performance. Going to a satellite seemed to have worked for Colin, as he move away from the shadow of Rossi, would this be similar if Hayden moved away from the shadow of Pedrosa? My short answer would be yes. But then again, would factory Honda ever stand for a satellite rider to beat a factory one to a title? I think not. Damn it, I think Nicky has no choice but to part ways with HRC. Factory Ducati is the best and only option. The conflict of interest is to great if he moves to a Honda satellite (or a third factory Honda which is really hog wash code for satellite), and he will remain grid filler only. Not so with Ducati, who are interested in beating the Japs at their own game.

As I think has been said elsewhere on the forum, Montiron can't do a deal with HRC to swap Dovi for Hayden 'cos Hayden's contract with HRC is up at the end of the year.

That part of the reportage is typical MCN.

As far as which ride Hayden would choose, assuming these are his only options, I wait with bated breath.

As someone already pointed out, Ducati is a ....-or-bust prospect that Hayden may be better taking than a satellite Honda ride where he won't be allowed to beat Pedrosa, even more so than where he is now.
