Can't find an article on the net to post up here, but I read in MCN that Nicky has signed a new contract with HRC.

Personally, I think if 'tis true Ducati & Yamaha were pursuing him, then Hayden is stupid to stay with a team that clearly doesn't want him.

He could've learnt a lot off someone like Rossi or Capo.

I guess so.

I think Dani's bike would be worth signing for, but not Hayden's as apparently the new 800 is designed to suit Dani...

Honda usually has the best bike as soon as new regulations are in.

Remember the 2002 season where the Honda was clearly better than everyone else? Even when Ducati entered in 2003 it caused waves in the paddock but the Honda was still clearly superior.

are you kidding! HONDA will come out the like they always do..
with THE best bike out there....count on it.

Nicky should have bailed on HONDA, left them with Asimo their golden boy....

how longs the contract for??..let me guess.. 1 year.

i must say if this turns out to be true i'll be a bit dissaponted in hayden. i was kinda hopin he'd go to ducati. clearly he's gonna play 2nd fiddle to pedders.

definatley dissapointing for that reason. ... but if HRC is who he wants to be with .... then dani is wat comes along with it

He was BEFORE the start of the season. Hayden was kept to develop the evo and support the brand in the US.

Anyway, he's done a decent job, so HRC is rewarding him. Well done.

where's the proof??...i don't see anything about him signing..

another two years at hrc!!he needs to win a wee bit more or else he'll be cast into the sbk riders bin.
one point, he does put points on the table maybe that's why duke&yam wanted him to bolster their manufacturer's hopes.if sete stays which mcn quoted as the preffered option for ducati and hayden is at hrc then yamaha have have a weak 2nd rider no disrespect to colin just look at the 2006 stats.
lets wait til motegi for more news but the honda&ducati lineup looks secure!!again according to mcn this week stoner/melandri are staying put honda prefer it that way so who'll partner rossi...edwards will probably stay they need a rider whose familiar with everything as they go into the 800's...that has to be the main reason hayden&sete are staying put.dani is fresh out of the box..illustrious season yes but you don't want to load with all that pressure next year let nicky handle it and they are selling bikes in the u.s...makes financial sense.honda look strong folks!!!

You lot say your disappointed that Hayden is staying why? are ducati going to be better than Honda? is the Yamaha going to be better?

No one knows so it might be good thing for nicky, and if Honda dont like Nicky then they can f themselves

throughout this season the general feeling on most forums has been running along the lines of honda not supporting his championship hopes, possibly coz pedrosa won and the commentators have been drawn to his quick success.nicky's in the best position in truth,he's got over all the mistakes he used to make dropping the front etc.he needs to ease on the sliding...he can surely win more races next year.he's just taken some time to develop...man he's put bundles of points on a honda this year even as it is a 'development' bike whatever that means and will do so in the future.i don't see how honda wouldn't want him to win the title that valentino has!!we all read too much into the 'pedrosa favouritism'.nicky i believe is still the no.1 rider,he's responsible, the pressure will be on him to work the bike out next year and continue putting in points and wins against the other frontline rider's...

Hayden hasn't signed yet. The only rider confirmed is Dani and he's also the only rider confirmed to test the new Honda 800 after Motegi, Hayden won't be allowed to ride it until his contract is resolved, so if he wants to get a spin on it, he'll have to sign at the weekend. Otherwise Stoner or Melandri will get a spin on it.

Typical Honda. I love their machinery but I hate their corporation. I really hope Hayden pulls off the title, gives them a http://www.motogpforum.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/.....gif and signs for Ducati or Yamaha.

News should be breaking in Japan right now that late yesterday afternoon Nick Hayden signed a contract to re-up with Honda for at least two more years. Hayden had recieved serious offers from both Ducati and Yamaha for his services but chose instead to sign with Honda.
