Vitto Guareschi interviewed by "Riders" magazine:

"Casey has so much talent, I've never seen the same in anybody else, not even in Rossi. I know the bike he rides and I can assure you, he does incredible things...".

"Casey brakes with his toes in the middle of a corner and opens the throttle at the same time. He's capable to manage the power of the bike in acceleration using the rear brake, a sort of do-it-yourself antispin. Crazy stuff. They asked me to replicate the same maneuver in order to analyze the data better, but I answered: if he earns four or five millions more than me, there must be a reason".

As you imply he would say that wouldn't he?, but it is all standard stuff for the teams at this time of the year and brivio made similar comments about valentino's magnificence yesterday. The only thing I would take out of it even as somebody for whom red is a preferred colour is that perhaps he is expressing the team's support for casey given that rumours abound that marlboro are not necessarily great fans.

Nothing to go crazy about, it's just a fact---a postulate really. Just watch him ride.

Having the most raw talent doesn't mean you're the best rider in the paddock, it just means you can do special things with the bike. In Stoner's case, he's also pretty consistent so he's a perennial contender as well.

its something we do on motox bikes its used when the tail really gets out of hand especially on tarmac BUT... on a motogp bike at them speeds is a different matter, speculation about casey's cornering antics on this forum has already pointed in this direction so thats all vitto has done is confirm this.

but all in all a cool way to ride i guess it avoids him highsiding at the end of the day.

yeah i know the guys is very good(you have to be if you're a world champion)... i'm just saying ,cause the last time ,tardozzi said something about him and the guys just went crazy

just having a joke around with you lol

he is my favorate for the title this year also, he showed some good form on his return last season.

i they he may have been sandbagging at the last test or not giving it 100%... i say this because a few weeks back he said he noticed rossi is always faster on race day than practice so i thought maybe stoner is playing that game?

but....if he wasnt sandabgging he may have been more concernd about gettin a good base setting for the bike as it has a new motor rather than trying to get the quickest time.

I think in general we will see more strategy including sandbagging played out by all the top riders and teams this year which will result in the race performance being full of surprises compared to race weekend practice performance.
