Ducati make bkes that look just that little bit different and better and have been nailing it since Mike the bike was a boy.
I want an Aprilia, I just know that the Ducati looks better.
I got my explanation down like this. You know how designers make a concept car or bike and it looks hot but by the time it goes into production it is missing all of the wow factor and just looks like the other brands? Ducati know how to keep a concept look.

Having seen the testing times, Ducati produce a nice looking bike but what's the point of looking good if it's not fast enough? I guess if they're going slower than the others you get longer to appreciate how nice it looks though

Advantage of V2 (and V4 because the V) is the tyre at low rpm is not destroyed easily compared to I4.
The disadvantage of V2 is that the power of engine put it out at mid rpms (lower than V4 or I4) but not so good at high.
Thats the problem for panigale, when the engine "stop" to give its power.
And the horsepower isnt the same. 240(?) for kawasaki, ~235 for aprilia etc etc and i think 10 -15 hp less than kawasaki for panigale

You're going to take this the wrong way but clearly, you've not been watching World SBK very long. Ducati has simply dominated SBK since it's inception. While their MotoGP project has been a failure, they bring home the goods in SBK and have for a very long time.

Ducati's racing pedigree in SBK is something to be envied. This is a new machine and I expect it'll have some teething issues but the 1199 will eventually come good.

You're right, I haven't watched any superbikes, I forgot what section we were in, I was just admiring the pictures, sorry. I was basing my views on motogp times recently.
Have to say I love all those pictures of the guts of the bike too, couldn't name you all the parts but I loved seeing them

Its not easy to find onboards because the dash is censored out (blurred). It's blurred out so that the competition doesn't see how fast stoner is going, and what his RPM values are. If other people knew, they could replicate Stoner's impressive lap times, or, if they're smart, find a better way to ride the circuit.
