Agreed, but apparently the rev limit is gonna keep the outputs down beneath that of production 600's, it sounds crap to me. I think they should go for 400cc twins and 200cc singles just like the old system.

I'm with Tom on this one. Any more news on this come out this weekend?

If they do this i can see people not being able to relate to the lower class racing and people will just watch one 45min race and the rest doesn't matter.

For you Americans, with the AMA going 600, this is a prime time for you to move over.

I await a challenge from the Flammini's though.

BRING BACK THE 990s!

We used to have 250cc and 500cc didn't we?
But I agree the racing was good with the 990's

But... but... the little Spainish boy was winning! He was whining, but not winning. Dorna though, "Hey! Let the little Spainish boy win as Spain loves him and bike racing, so we make more money!" It took a year, but they have the little Spainish boy winning.

Last thing I read was that the plan was to have a prototype engine (600cc) built by an external company and every manufacturer can buy this engine cheap and make the rest of the bike.

Cause Flamini are not allowing them to use street derived 600cc engines.

This whole 600cc new series was predicted several years ago by Kenny Roberts Senior.

I guess the old man knows a thing or two. LOL

I can only see 500's/600's working if they up the premier class to the 900's again.

If the engine regs impose a relatively low power output the second class wont be too close to the premier one despite having a small capacity difference.
