Emulating the motoGP thread that occurred a few days back, give us your final thoughts on the F1 season before it gets underway this weekend:

1. Who will win the 2008 world drivers championship?
Between Kimi and Hamilton.

2. Which team will win the 2008 constructors championship?
Ferrari.

3. Which driver will be the most improved from the previous season?
Possibly Mark Webber, may have much better results with a more reliable car.

4. Which team will improve the most?
Williams.

5. Which driver(s) are most likely to retire at the end of the year?
Barrichello and Fisichella.

6. Do you think Super Aguri will make it through the year following their recent financial crisis?
I believe they can bounce back, here's hoping.

7. Of the rookies, including those starting their first <u>full</u> season, who will give the best performance this year?
Nelsinho Piquet.

8. Which team do you expect to finish last this year?
Super Aguri, much as it pains me to say it.

9. Which driver will finish last (of the current entries)?
Davidson.

10. Who will be the most impressive in qualifying?
Alonso.

11. Who will win at Singapore, the first F1 night race?
Felipe Massa.



Which race are you looking forward to the most?
Fuji, there was an impressive race there last year if that's anything to go by.

Who would you like to see do well this year?
The Toyota guys (Trulli and Glock).

What are your opinions on the rule changes?
Good to see the fuel burning phase has gone from qualifying. I'm a bit confused behind the engine rule where your first engine can be changed but not any others?

Finally (UK viewers), which song would you like to replace "Lift Me Up" as the F1 theme tune?
Celebrity Science by Hybrid.

i dont think so... this year there is going to be a good battle against the 3 main rivals and Alonso's new team mate Nelson Angelo Piquet will be one to watch (not in the first race i dont think he has raced there before but as the season goes on he will show his worth)

and no T.C.

Williams and Renault.

Thanks to Magma Group they will.

Hamilton and Alonso (not sure about the Ferrari guys, I think they'll be pretty equal).

Dunno...hopefully Raikkonen.

Pissed off!! Control tyres and practically spec engines are bad enough, with the ECU added to the list aero is the only significant technical advancement left and its being capped because the racing isn't good enough and everyones poor. Its very disappointing.

Kimi Raikkonen and Ferrari. Easy to pick, as Hamilton and McLaren will struggle without Ron Dennis.

2. Which team will win the 2008 constructors championship?
Ferrari. Best team in F1 is Ferrari.

Heikki Kovalainen. With a good car. Renault is a great team, but has a miserable car.

4. Which team will improve the most?
Toyota. They have to improve somewhere.

5. Which driver(s) are most likely to retire at the end of the year?
Giancarlo. But he should have a few years ago.

6. Do you think Super Aguri will make it through the year following their recent financial crisis?
They will finish the year and Honda will see off or shut down their support. Ant Davidson is a great driver, but has never been given a shot with good gear.

7. Of the rookies, including those starting their first <u>full</u> season, who will give the best performance this year?
Sebastien Bourdais. With a bad team in Scuderia Toro Rossi but is a great driver, and should score points frequently.

8. Which team do you expect to finish last this year?
Super Aguri. Bad team. Good drivers, but bad cars and engines.

9. Which driver will finish last (of the current entries)?
Takuma Sato. Came up too quick and suffered.

10. Who will be the most impressive in qualifying?
Red Bull Racing. Coulthard has been a decent qualifier and so is Webber.

11. Who will win at Singapore, the first F1 night race?
Kimi!

Which race are you looking forward to the most?
The Canadian GP. My second year going. Monaco. A great venue and great race.

Who would you like to see do well this year?
Sebastien Bourdais. 4 time champion in Champ Car and 31 wins in 70 starts. With a bad team, but should show France and American Racing proud.

2. I think he did a very good job till 2005. The last 2 seasons weren't that great.

Heikki's problem last year was the car. Renault did not give him a good car.

So your a Kimi fan? That is great. Kimi really won me over last year. Schuey is still the best to me.

Heikki had a good car for his first season. I think this year McLaren will provide him a better car. He might surprise us on occasions!!

I reckon Raikkonen will walk it now. I've been a tad dissapointed with some of Massa's comments pre-season about the TC ban and such, and his body language at the F2008 shakedown didn't convince me. Seems like Kimi's team now. As for McLaren, I think Ferrari have that crucial couple of tenths over them, and apart from a couple of victories, I don't think they'll challenge for the title. Williams a close third, with Renault, Red Bull and BMW battling for fourth.

I'm gonna throw a wildcard in here and say either Nakajima or Rosberg. God knows why.

Webber, Kovaleinen, Glock and Bourdais (for the older guard).

We can't have the chain back unfortunately. So I'd like to see a different intro for each season. Every season's different, thats the beauty of racing!

Even in testing Scumacher is faster than the rest of the drivers. I for a long time, being a Ferrari fan, thought he it was just the car, but now I am proven wrong. True Kimi and Felipe won races and now a title, but didn't dominate like Michael did.

Well, you have to agree that the 02 and 04 Ferrari was simply GREAT. So of course he dominated. MS was way better than Rubinho, so it wasn't surprising at all. Kimi won last year, but never dominated, that's because he was new to the team, Massa had a year under his belt at Ferrari, and of course McLaren was really strong as well. So no wonder they didn't dominate. Maybe this season they will..??? I'm not too sure though.
