....... ......... forced myself to stay awake for this when coming home for nothing (except some banter with andy at least  )

mercedes look real good, @ lil red : still feeling so sure about our little bet concerning ros vs ham ? ;)

maldonado is like montoya on amph, crazy but just so entertaining to watch him slide the car around. looked like he was trying to be the f1 version of ken block yester day.

the mclaren puzzles me, bad over steer yesterday but if i remember correctly excessive understeer was the only problem in testing?

balance problems are always a very bad sign, also i'm sorry but i just can't see perez already making a very big impact championship wise and i don't rate button anywhere near a guy like hamilton in raw talent (when hes on form and remembers hes one of the most gifted racers in the world, not a rapper)

don't matter though, if you watch how ultra smooth vettel throws the car into and out of the apex you can only be reminded of another german who did quite well in recent years by driving the car like a big go kart.

the car is again a front runner and i think it will be nigh on impossible to beat him.

if ham or alo mange to do it though, it will be an even bigger accomplishment than first WC wins.

2013 it shaping up to be a fantastic season in gp/f1. i just hope the tyres are not so bad that we get to see 3 stop races ,thats just at least 1 stop too much for my taste

Yeah for once I wasn't excited to watch the quali, I didn't even know what had happened until much later. Rain stopped play again huh? Tsk tsk.

I think it will more of the same as last year, only next year when the regs change big style will things get mixed up some. Until then, Vettel's gonna win ;)

renault should be able to produce a sweet turbo.theyve perfected the art of turbocharging first!

btw, anybody got specific info on the next generation of engines? (i.e. , boost pressure, number of turbos, vtg?,max. hp and torque).

is the formula limited to v6s or is there the possibilty of at least some variety (IL4s ,V4s) ?

i hope its not super smooth twin turbos with flat power curves. aggressive power delivery and powerslides plz.

Sadly, my supply of the Liquid Motivation (Tequila) that fuels Jumkie's masterpieces has expired.  Unless you'd care to replenish my supply, you're on your own!  :p

(Besides, I haven't read more than a few dozen pages.  Try the last 20 or so, they seem better focused than some of the earlier speculative babbling.)

Of course ;)

pah, except for q3 (admittedly where it counts) rosberg was as fast ,if not faster than lewis.

rosberg is definately not hopelessly outclassed talentwise by hamilton and has another couple of things going for him, so i still think theres quite a good chance he'll outscore him. we'll have had 5 races to judge them by till donny ;)

can we please establish that the ferrari hasn't been a crap car and alonso isn't senna schumacher and villeneuve rolled into one but much rather that massa has been a crap driver from hockenheim 2010-late 2012 ?

what a crappy sunday for the nicos

go kimi!!

impressed ,but not surprised by sutil.

koba should have perez seat

pirelli sucks worse than yellow flags in us racing. 5 laps before a tyre you are forced to use goes off and 3 stop strategies.makes you sit there for half the race not really getting who's winning this thing.i don't like feeling stupid.

Leave me alone, I know what I'm doing!   :)

slowly getting impatient/nervous fernando? :) :)

sad to see massa lose his manhood again,i liked that he showed a little fight/return to form. what driver opens the door for his teammate so that he can attack into the first corner better and just accepts dropping down the field?

go seb/kimi/nico(s) !

disappointed by merc. @lil red : i pull out of the bet. can't stay in it if theyre not allowed to race. rosberg can keep up though, i made my point ;)

ham looks frustrated.good to see though that he remembers where he came from :) impressed with his honesty.

hülkenberg is an impressive fighter, good hard battle with räikkönen.

whats it with aussies and their whining?oO

"i turned my engine down and saved my tyres because i thought it was over"  what a tool.

but yeah, he's not bad for a number 2 driver demanding an unjustified #1 status .

fantastic drive by vettel again, its a pleasure to see him race. never unfair, never giving up.go seb

other thoughts: i find this whole "target lap time" thing atrocious. racers should go as fast as possible. i understand a little tyre management can spice things up but this is much too much.

Agreed Bro'

I was sat watching just picturing you getting more and more frustrated.

Hat's off to Rosberg did what he was asked, No I in team. Commendable!!!

As for Red bull now they have huge problems,

Webber was told to turn it down and bring it home one two.

Seb decided he was bigger than the team! Possessed even!

If I was team management I'd be castrating someone!

That had to be the most uncomfortable podium I have ever seen.

i'm impressed with both of the merc drivers reactions .lewis being honest, rosberg being a gentleman and convincingly stressing that hes more happy that the car is good and that the team makes good progress.

BUT

I'm not so much disappointed with merc as i am with nico in a way, he should have pushed. they both know how to race and are established drivers so .... the team orders.

as for red bull, this is laughable. webber never had a problem with upsetting his teammate and attacking him in hard ways (no matter if it was ever necessary).

maybe if webber had actually helped vettel in the past (not in a ferrari

way, but you know, at least not being contraproductive) i think this

would have been different.

if he had the speed, he would have counter attacked. anybody who thinks differently is smoking the wrong herb. the worst seb could have done is just sit behind webber and obey stupid orders (its not like webber is ever going to win a wdc).

webber didn't lose this race because of vettels wrong doing.

he lost it because he was too slow to attack. don't think for a second webbers too chicken to not go through with his own will,i'll give him that.

don't know whether i should praise vettel for his convincing apology or worry about him.he looks very upset, especially judging from the german interviews.

you don't become a multiple wdc by being nicer than the others.

well lets concentrate on the bright side.

0 points for eyebrows :)

The problem is now will Webber listen to the team.

Or will both drivers just go head to head and risk both cars been taken out?

Agreed no points for eyebrows :)

dude thats my point. at no time EVER has any of the red bull drivers obeyed to any eventual team orders!

thats why i like the team, even when they do give "soft" orders, their drivers don't follow them

thats the one plus of having a energy drink company run an f1 team. they can't afford to build a negative image

mercedes ,ferrari and lotus have clear number 1 drivers. red bull hasn't, which gives vettel extra points in any sensible mans book.

imagine the outrage if the team orders would have been that webber should stay behind vettel. double standards for a lot of fans

I thought the reason people dislike Eyebrows is that he's a spoiled jerk?  (It takes a 'special' person to blackmail your own team!)

If 'Multi21' is what is seems, Vettel's actions are pretty dang slimy.  He's not quite the next Schumipath, but seems well on his way to catching Alonso in that particular race.

What I don't get are Mercedes' orders.  Hambone was damn near pushing the car over the last few laps.  Rosberg could have passed easily, with zero risk, but was prohibited.  IMO, he has more reason to be pissed at than Webbo. I'll bet that he and Brawn had a nice 'chat' after the race.
