the tracks will be Empty if any spectators have a Brain

Hehe...Mr optimistic eh Pigeon!

I do agree though...its nae looking too good. All these rule changes cost a fortune to implement........ you Honda!

Honda completely ...... up Moto GP when they strong armed in the 800cc era.. it took them 5 years but they finally got what they wanted, Beat Rossi and show Honda is #1..(I'm a Honda guy they make the best ....)..

but in return we the fans got "less entertaining" some say boring racing and a grid thats gone from 30 bikes before the 800s; to, from the look of things, maybe 10 bikes next year?

ffs go back to pre-prototype rules already and stick prototypes to test tracks.

"Lease a Honda" in the region of 4.5 million euros thats, 6.19515 million U.S. dollars..

holy ....!

Its utter pish innit....but as they say, money talks....and Honda have more than anyone else.

Maybe if they'd had a little more faith in Stoner in his first year in Moto-gp, we'd still be watching the 990's hooring it about. They instead spat the dummy out and monopolised the series, shunning the smaller teams and with that, the sport. I dont think the sport is mind numbingly boring but its certainly not as entertaining as it once was...if you want that, watch WSB or indeed BSB!

Probably by threatening to take away the extra factory bike. I read that dorna wants the sat teams to run their own bikes while the factory will only be allowed two each. The problem is we need more CRT bikes, but that will take some time and with dorna prepared to change rules in season I'm sure Honda don't want a CRT bike to be anywhere near their bikes, time wise. So they're playing dirty and flexing their power over the sat teams.

I think they're right to consider CRT bikes a serious threat to direct factory control of MotoGP. I don't blame Honda, but I hope they ultimately fail in keeping CRT bikes out.

The worse the economy gets, the more CRT bikes make sense, and the global recession shows no signs of getting better. If anything, the Euro crisis will focus the mind of the FIM like nothing else.

I know I won't get much support on this, but personally I probably wouldn't object to a merger of WSBK and Motogp with a split grid rather than 1 set of rules. Bring SBK back to Superstock rules and run them against prototypes. Might be about time to consider that these 2 championships are bleeding each other dry to some extend.

Seems like audience figures for both series is pretty healthy. I don't think Bridgepoint would want to ruin a good thing for the sake of simplicity.

I think the current plan is to have sbk return to bikes that are more stock, and have gp turn into a builders series based around factory engines. Noyes was tweeting that sbk is on the limit of needing to use carbon brakes as it is so that would be even more incentive to bring them back to what they're supposed to be. Spalding is saying the rev limit will be 15.5k max unless there is an electronic break through so I think the CRT bikes may have a slim chance of being competitive at some tracks this year like CE was saying. Next year should be interesting

True enough, attendance figures still seem to be good for both series. I was thinking more about grid size. Also, there's been a lot of complaining about the nature of motogp races lately, while the same people were singing praises to sbk racing. Maybe this would be a way to appease them while keeping prototype racing alive as well.

I would welcome this. Superbike racing should be about racing production bikes, but current bikes in WSBK are not even close to their production counterpart any more.
