Edwards can do it this year

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (RallyeRon @ Mar 2 2006, 12:14 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>http://www.crash.net/news_View~t~New-style...6~id~125924.htm

such good news to hear that he is not only getting along with his new style but he is enjoying it.

and we all know what a happy rider makes........ A FAST ONE!!!

I seriously believe he will take at least one win this year, who else agrees with me?
Maybe Ron,but I think he`s gonna be swallowed up in other fierce battles on the track...but would be good to see him win.

Ive just always felt that hes had the mental ability to tough it out with anyone and all he needs is some form.

Its nice to see Colin fird up, however I feel he will be behind Rossi, Marco, Nicky & Dani this season. We will have to see how his new riding style affects his performance.

He's a solid rider - but I've said it before, barrichello syndrome................sports psychology and all that!

I think he's got it in him this year. Just as richo said, Laguna or Donington.

lets be trufully honest he should by now be winning races but its gunna be tough, if he dosnt start winning soon the sete brigade r gunna slag him off all season hahahhaha. summing up im not convinced he can..

Iv really gotta feeling Edwards.. well.. might get a few podiums! unless Rossi crashes at Donington, which, lets be honest, he wont! lol then lil' Col wont win! dont get me wrong, i do like him.. but, not when ya got Vale, Marco, Dani n such like!

I think that if the Yamaha is as superior as it looks like, whenever Rossi has a bad day (2 or 3 times a year) or at Laguna, Edwards has the best chance of winning, so yeah I think Edwards could win 1 or 2.

nope! mr. mediocre will stay just that... mediocre!
<
no wins me thinks.

I wouldn't call 4th Mediocre. 8th is mediocre. 4th is more like..... above average
<

Besides, if things keep going the way they are, Yamaha will have a definite edge over Honda this year. And if that edge is enough to stop the Hondas from keeping up their usual pace, and the planets are in line and all that stuff, Edwards might just end up the '06 Vice chapion. But I got a feeling Honda won't let that happen. The RCV will be definately be sorted by mid season, no matter how bad it is.

yes ur right. 4th is'nt mediocre... for say hopkins, nakano, any of the rookies, but edwards, on the factory yami, with rossi developing the bike, and him always saying how much the 2 of them like the same things, therefore he should be going just as fast as rossi....... it's mediocre.

Someone's gotta have the 2nd bike. And no matter who you put on it they're not going to look good next to Rossi are they?
I thought Edwards had an active part in developing too?

i'm not talkin about rossi. he looks mediocre against most everybody else. all the top guy's anyway.

he does

I think once Colin gets one under his belt he will be more of a threat.

I am an Edwards fan but I have been completely let down by his performance so far.

So for me it is more of a matter of when he can get that first win...this year? I think so.

Yeah Frosty. Is this just inter-state rivalry?
<

He might be "mediocre" because you can count his podiums in a year on one hand, but he's still better than about 75% of the grid

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (teomolca @ Mar 3 2006, 05:59 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>So you don't like Texans very much Frosty?

it's not that i don't like edwards, it's just ..... well... hmmmm... he's been a big disapointment.about texans bush is a texan... need i say more?

my point exactly!

Did anyone see how confident and happy Colin was after he posted that mega lap at the weekend?

He looked so pumped and energised (even though commentators said he was ill!).....maybe I will be retracting my comments!

No faith, in the Texas Tornado, Ben?

It took him nearly a decade to dominate Superbikes, so by Edwards standards, this moving up the GP rankings is happening fast.
