hello new to this forum & computers in general just having a feel about.probably posting all the wrong things in all the wrong places.

welcome to the forum! don't worry about posting in the wrong place, that can happen to all of us! just post as much as you want.

about gibernau and the duc, I hope he does fine. He realy had a bad season last year with a lot of presure of being rossi's strongest contester in the beginning of the season. hopefully he has shook the bad feelings off of him and that he can compete again with the best of the field. The combination gib-duc can be good, whole new team and bike for him to start all over again.

This is a great move for all parties involved. Ducati gets a two time runner up, their most acclaimed rider thus far. Gibernau gets a fresh start at a very competitive team who don't expect him to set the world on fire and beat Rossi consistantly. In addition, he doesn't have the pressure of being a factory's sole no. 1 rider. He and Capriossi will share responsibilities which can only mean good things for Gibbers and Ducati.

just post away wreckless... the more the merrier

i hope gibers has a good season. i agree with ooost and marijke that a new start for him could be just what he needs

Betting on Gibbers can not be a bad thing, I bet he and Capper get a couple of poles between them.

With a fresh start and the spotlight off of him would probaly see him do better than last season, hee couldnt do any worse could he?

Welcome!

Yep, Gibbers to Ducati is a great move. No more Honda "Beat the defector or you'll be riding steppies as a despatch rider in Vladivostock" style pressure. I think his beef with Rossi is stating to wear off too. The Doctor even said his move to Ducati was "Good to try a new challenge. Hopefully Rossi will leave him alone this year as he concentrates on his new threats.
Gibernau's problem has always been his mental weakness, so less pressure and less of Rossi's attention should do him well. Hope he gets back on the podium on a regular basis. (But not if that means he's taking them away from those lime green ninjas
