Sic pics! Where'd you find them? I like the 'Stoner1' sticker on the top of the forks to help him remember that he has beaten Rossi before... haha

Great photos! The Ducati's are looking more and more like a F1! Not sure if I like the look of it, but if it works I'm happy.

Who needs bike experience, i'd just need to study electronics, right?
<

Seriously though i'd obviously be well out of my depth on a GP9, not to mention MILES too big for it

Good one

Right all you need is a level of about BM's understanding an your all set.

No .... you would be out of your depth
<
. So would I and I have many years on both dirt and tarmac and a lot of them together. I reckon thats a given for about 97% of the powerslide members though

Ha, well the Jury is still out on whether Nicky Hayden is out of his depth, Marco certainly was!

Thanks alex29 - that is some pretty sic stuff.

Makes alot of sense and lends credit to the thought that the GP9 is the new standard that other manufacturers may aspire to.

Some info on the GP9,
Excellent, thanks Alex.

I was reminded by this thread earlier today of something that Neil Spalding said on Eurosport last night about the airbox being incorporated into and forming the basis of the main frame, which was immediately evident looking at the pictures posted this morning.

Pics on Motogpmatters are much more detailed than what came from Motociclismo.
MotorcycleNews also talks about it in their latest maga, which is free on their site.

Rumour is that for 2011, Ducati will be using a stressed aluminum airbox and link the swingarm, subframe, etc to the new 1198!

Great stuff. The packaging looks great and i'd love to see another factory attempt the same. Kawasaki have some history with monocoque chassis, their ZX12R even has one, although obviously not in carbon, nor is it made up of front and rear sub frames. I wouldn't get my hopes up though for them, my guess would be Honda doing it next if anyone does.
