DSB title to Buell

If Cardenas won the title your argument against the Buell would be that much weaker. If Buell wins the title, I'm sure something will be done. If they don't, people may say, see the inline 4's are still faster.

I don't know, just a twisted way at looking at the situation.

DMG's problem is that bike racing fans are a hell of a lot smarter and technical than Nascar fans. They know that when DMG starts defending the Buell with lap time data that it means nothing. They know fastest lap doesnt win a race,it wins that lap. They know riders are crashing up front at an alarming rate and they know why. They know for a fact that Buell has a huge acceleration advantage and that can be used to control the field, hence the skewed lap times.I wouldnt be suprised to see the Buell get booed when it wins the title at NJ,and rightfully so. Nothing against Danny, seems like a nice kid,but the rules have got to change for next year or you will see half the field riding Buells.

Sorry man, i just can't supoprt your statement here. If you took away all the casual race fans that attend a NASCAR event you would be left with the diehards that have enormous amounts of intelligence about the sport. Kind of like what happened in the AMA. All the casual fans are gone. The motorcycle enthusiasts are left and they aren't footing the bill.

I see it as the total polar opposite. All the die hard fans i know have gone away and the only thing showing up is the casual fan that couldnt tell the difference between a big bore Buell and a 250 Gp bike. And definatley cant tell the difference between a Superstock 1000 and a Superbike.Im talking about the guy that looks at his buddy and asks why that yellow and black bike sounds so much different than them other ones chasing it, and talks about putting a stronger power band in his bike.

....... RE, who is Taylor Knapp? I'm sure Buell has no advantage, Jake Zemke is only the single guy to beat Mladin and Spies from 2006-2008. I could do that. I bet Danny Eslick could do that. No big deal.

If Eslick does win the title, this will be one of the biggest and most unfortunate meltdowns in motorcycle racing. Cardenas has had a DNF in 3 of the last 6 races, and if he doesn't compete this weekend, it will be 5 DNFs in 8 races.

DMG might be screwing with the results, but it isn't in Eslick's favor. DMG are stuck in a horrible political situation b/c two people who have supported DMG (Ulrich & Buell) are pitted against one another in DSB. Taylor Knapp is a quality rider, and he's been riding in both classes all season long. He rode the 1125RR at Mid Ohio and he scored a 5th in Superbike at HPT.

Taylor Knapp is a prominent privateer who DMG probably want to help get funding. They also want Buell at the front with the other manufacturers.

That might be the understatement of the year!
