we arrived on the Thursday and found no evidence of security problems.

We took in a camping gaz stove and several cases of lager and beer and people were bringing this in all weekend.

The only thing security were stopping was LARGE amounts of alcohol and large BBQ equipment and any large product that would constitute a open fire.

One thing i would say is that there was a lack of knowledge on the front gate as to where we should go at first but with all respect that was down to the campsite having to change location at last minute becuase of flooding after Download weekend.

Apart from that all ok

We arrived on Friday and also got everything that we had in. Loads of people were doing the same.

Thanks for your reply glad you had no problems,From what i was being told I thought I would have to boycott Donnington next year!! Im Glad thats not the case!!

The only camping problem we encountered was the masses of mud and the torrential weather on Monday morning.

Not really sure what the deal was with the large TV screen in the camping was. Seemed like poor planning to put it where they were letting people camp, so if you wanted to go watch, you had to stand in the road.

quite right

been in previous years and the screen was for everyone to see at the top by the water.

sopke to security about the screen and they say that it was a last minute decision to put it there becuase of the state of the ground everywhere else.

the railed campsite where the screen was , ws supposed to be disabled camping only but i am sure it turned out to be a free for all after sat.

to be honest the roadway was the best place to watch. at least the floor was walkable eh ??

Very true, they messed that up. It was in a much better position, but that was when the campsite was at the other side...

Yeah, we ended up in there but initially it was for just disabled campers I believe, there were a few disabled people in there but the majority weren't.

looks like you got the best deal then

tv in your back yard and a campsite at the top of the valley with no mud and settling water

lucky you
