Do you think the Duc with 'break' Rossi (psychologically)?

Yep, he's broke, and CS is the one who broke him in Valencia 2010!

good thing he broke him at valencia, cause he certainly didnt break him over the course of the season. he finished in front of CS even with a broken leg remember?

This was the biggest opportunity in Rossi's career to cement himself as the best ever. Imagine if Rossi had got on the Ducati and after one test sorted the problems Stoner couldnt fix and then went on to win the championship. I honestly thought at the Valencia test Stoner was going to be the one struggling. At the moment Rossi looks inferior to Stoner, but he wont be broken yet, he has the bike and the shoulder to blame. His last chance is to get the GP12 working and go out on a high. Failure on the GP12 next year will certainly break him.

I hate Ducati and can't stand Rossi. So needless to say, this year has been a joyful one for me. After all these years Rossi have finally been served his humble pie...... it pleases me soo much, at times I feel like I may just explode inside my pants.

MOMMY HELP, ITS HAPPENING AGAIN! WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME MOMMY?

It's at times like these we need a Nietzsche quote: What does not kill me, makes me stronger. So next year, he could be awesome!

I reckon if Rossi had got on this bike when he was younger, he'd be more willing to find the limit but age does make us more cautious (by and large).

At times like these, we need a Wittgenstein quote: 'Wovon man nicht sprechen kann, darüber muss man schweigen.'

Do you all think Rossi was always going to be a Kid? Granted he dose have his hands full, and you can read on his face. Supershit and the other young ones won't understand this, but what where where we like in our early 20's compared to our 30's? We all mature, like it or not in those ten years. I say a much as we did in our teens.

That kinda relates to Ducati in GP. Not a large % would have guessed that they would have won as many races or even a championship in their first ten years. They were bound to make mistakes given the odds where stacked against them (money and experience).

I think deep down Rossi and Burgess are up for the challenge, if they could do what they did for honda, yamaha, and end up with the results for ducati? That would be a huge accomplishment given now how this season has gone. Injury as we all know would end any ones career. Ducati= yeah right.

Pathetic bopper infighting .Rossi will get there but this time he`s having to take smaller steps. It would be churlish to write him off now.

I'm still sticking to my theory that Rossi's poor results so far on the COMPETITIVE Ducati is due to Uccio withholding ....

The Kentucky Squid sucks so his poor results are expected.

It's already apparent that battling against the machine is wearing on him. Commentators like Kropotkin have observed he is not as chirpy in press appearances as he used to be. The Duc has earned a reputation as a career killer. What do you think Rossi's psychological state will be after his stint at Ducati (assuming things don't markedly improve)?

P.S. - There is a obviously a typo in the title, instead of 'with', it should be 'will'. I sometimes type faster than I think.

no. but i think you're a moron for even starting such a stupid thread! LMFAO!!!

Its a good question. I think no, but only because he has his previous success and clout to leave without being vilified. Unlike Melandri, who looked to be a good rider, but felt he was going insane (at least that's what they told him). I think this Ducati-Rossi thing speaks to the double standard of rider vs machine we often see argued. It also speaks to the disparity of package where people have previously given the rider all the credit. From year to year all results must be coupled with explanation. Even now, several myths, though busted, continue to be employed. "Aliens" don't exist, "Alien" packages do. That or its Bridgestone's fault....again.

I disagree, Aliens do exist, and we've seen that by the gaps between riders with the same equipment.

Because the gap from Dovi to Pedro to Stoner, and the gap from Spies to Lorenzo, and Nicky to Rossi is miles, right?
