Do you think Stoner is scared of Dani?

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Jumkie @ Sep 2 2008, 10:30 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Yeah, Stoner is scared of Pedrosa. That's the explanation for his rash of crashes lately. He is trying to get away from him. Oh lord.

Oh, before I forget, 250 titles don't mean ..... Well let me rephrase that, 250 titles only mean you are now eligible to try MotoGP. Just like WSBK & AMA titles, other than you get a crack at MotoGP, they don't mean much else, again 250 titles mean squat.

And yeah, Stoner has been the fasts actually on many occasion . But who gives a ...., you gotta finish ahead for it to count. Lucky for Rossi crashy is back to gift him a title.

Easy buddy.... if not for Stoner than this season would of been crap, just like your attitude. BUT, as much as i don't like Stoner....and as much as I'm NOT a Rossi fan, i still respect the fact that they can at least make the season somewhat interesting for the fans. For goodness sakes you are a Nicky Hayden fan, just that alone tells us how much weight your words carry (no offence, I just don't like Hayden...as a racer, not as a person). So....... in closing, just shut up and see how the season plays out.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (SuperShinya56 @ Sep 3 2008, 04:22 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>What all you MotoGP fans need to do is cut the BS......no seriously cut it out. WE ALL KNOW that Rossi is the shizznit to the rizznit or however they say it nowadays. The thing is you would like to see who is next to take the reigns after Rossi's legacy ends. BUT before it does end, you guys would LOVE to see someone who can actually take it to the man a.k.a. Rossi, and see if Rossi truly is as great as everyone makes him out to be. Sadly in motorsports...well, not just in motorsports but life in general....when someone is on the top, there are gonna be 'haters' who would just love to see them crumble. That's just how it is, people who can't cut it or just mean spirited in general would love nothing more than to see a shining star burn out. And those people are fans of.....in no particular order or in no particular sports......... (Alain Prost, Michael Schumacher, Max Biaggi, Casey Stoner, LeBron James, etc...) instead of appreciating those that truly shine like.... (Ayrton Senna, Valentino Rossi, Kobe Bryant, etcc.). Thats just how life is guys.... now i ask you, which side are you on?

What a load of rubbish. Not all Biaggi fans are so because they wanted to see Rossi fail, i'd say the fans of the sport who's priority is to see the most successful driver fail are in the minority. I'd also like to add that Schumacher and Prost were both the most successful of their generation, so the "haters" would be the ones supporting their rivals.

Excuse me for loving the sport in a way that lets me appreciate the achievements of more than one competitor.

I wouldn't call myself a glory hunter, especially as my favorite riders have have all had tough seasons but i am able to enjoy impressive performances from riders all over the grid. I hold motogp in high regard as the pinnacle of bike racing, and as such i am excited to see who can establish themselfes at the top of the sport and appreciate the acheivements of those who do. Additional to the appreciation of what it takes to be at the highest level comes a interest in riders who are working to reach that level, and their actions.

Just out of interest, why is it you have such a problem with "glory hunting fans" as you put it?

Well you could push the boat out a bit and actually enter a discussion! Your avoidence of such an activity suggests you are either unable to justify and/or express your opinions, or rather that you are incapable of appreciating others, shame really.

.... off you lanky streak of piss

I think he respects but does not fear dani.

I think he did not fear rossi as recently as the laguna seca warm-up, but am willing to concede there is doubt about this now.

I think unfortunately there is reason for fear about his scaphoid problem.

I know a guy that had to undergo surgery to get it grow. He needed more blod around the fracture if I remember correctly.

I don't see a reason why Stoner should be scared of Dani, or even vice versa for any matter. And, moreover I don't think any rider is afraid of any other rider except for RDP, for obvious reasons
