Thanks to those who corrected my mis-info re. start time. Another thing had me confused, UK/USA have different dates for "daylight saving time"

I thoroughly enjoyed that race, I was thinking with pit stops that it might break riders up but the battle raged at the front throughout. Loved the slipstreaming on the banked corners, rarely do I see a boring 600SSport race.

I got the chance to speak with Neil Hodgson at Goodwood Festival of Speed, and I told him how he banged it up the inside of somebody on the chicane from the banking, when he was in AMA. He told me quite enthusiastically that the banking was, "flipping scary," which he repeated, had there not been women and kids around. Apparently, the bike squats in the banked turns because of the g-force they generate. Neil was my number one rider for years, straight to the point and a damn hard racer. A friend of mine calls him Burnley's answer to David Beckham.

Tell Neil not to feel bad, it scared the .... out of Fogarty also. Most Europeans dont like the idea of riding race bikes at 200 mph with a concrete wall as their runoff. They just are not used to the .... tracks that we have in the US

I asked Benny how the banking feels. I expected him to tell me how scary it was. Instead he said very enthusastically " ITS FUN!!"

Ahhh to be young dumb and fearless once again...

I could be wrong about this but I am certain I heard the commentator say over the track PA that Benny was clocked at 178.7mph coming off the banking and a little way down the back straight. Whatever it is, they are hauling some .... Seeing Hayes blow past on that Yamaha was awesome.

I already miss those R1's in WSBK. love that Yamaha sound !
