When I saw him come of his bike and slide across the track, the way he entered the grass and his hand looked to have hit the floor at a funny angle then he rolled a bit it did look like he did something to his hand and this comes as not suprise to be honest.

Hopefully he will still be fit to race though in the next round. (Hoping I don't start getting flamed for being a Peds fan) heh.

Well, I'd like to think no one actually wishes severe bodily harm to him.

Schadenfreude is an ugly thing, but with someone as universally disliked as Peddles, it seems many folks around here enjoy an occasional small dose of that guilty pleasure. (I do!) At any rate, a boo-boo finger isn't going to generate much sympathy.

If his finger is OK, he'll ride at Laguna one way or another. There's no way he'd allow himself to be shown up by Gorgeous Jorge.

Ouch! That was a nasty crash. You've got to feel a little sympathy for the Sith Dwarf.

Shame for Dani to fall injured with only a week before the next GP. He isn't gonna want to lose too many points going into the summer break so i hope he rides and isn't too badly damaged.

As a side note does anyone know if wet racing is considered when circuit run-offs are planned because riders tend to slow down much less, sometimes making it all the way to the fences.

I think he could rave with a dodgy finger but his ankle is the main problem but if he rests it enough he should be able to race. If he doesn't I think that would virtually write him off for the Championship if Rossi wins.

I was thinking that if Dani got 25-30 points behind Rossi it would be hard to catch, but as we have seen many times already this year anything can happen!!

He really did give his hand a good smack when he slide across the run off tarmac onto the grass, Im shocked he's got away with ( as far as we know ) just a fractured finger. Even though 90% of our forum write him off (including myself the majority of the time ), i wouldnt be suprised if this little tuff nut roughs it out next week providing he's injuries arnt too severe. We've all seen plenty of riders get out there with broken fingers before and even the odd nakkerd ankle.

To be honest i knew the crash was going to happen , it was inevitable at the pace he was riding in those conditions ! I had my doubts about the old "pedrobot" statements, but im starting to wonder if its more than just a bit of lighthearted humour ! how can anyone ride in those conditions at that pace ! has this man even got a Conscious ?

he he he... I was happy to see that little .... fall but in no way do I want to see any rider with an injury due to a crash. I have to admit he did get away and had it if he didn't throw it away. But did you really think my voodoo wouldn't work? It has been for the last 3 races. Oh and it is danyelle fagdrosa get it right.

Puig had one of the most spectacular and mingin air fence moments back on the 500. Finished his racing career didn't it? Totally screwed his leg, I liked the guy as a racer actually. Not a fan now but, hey ho.

I find the mousketeer intriguing - just waiting for signs of personality - at least with Casey you get a pout. He was really only there as a filler in the real battle which is Vale and Casey (although he could actually win the whole thing by accident). The sooner he is back the better otherwise the front of the pack will start looking bare. Lorenzo was disappointing and I'm eating my words for pumping Nicki H up.

Like him or lump him that was a complete masterful display of wet riding by Casey, as well as Vale and Chris (and poor old ADA in fourth).

It was cool how the BBC caught the accident using the onboard cam coming down from about 170mph

I agree with this statement. I saw him going down the straight and you could here him shifting like it was dry. and waiting that late for braking also. I thought' and said to my wife he's going to lose it at that rate. and fraapowww he did.

<span style="color:#ff0000You guys shouldn't rejoice in Pedrosa's misfortunes. I don't particularly like him. But he is a great rider and I would hate to see a potential World Champion go out like that.

I really want to see a dice for the title not crash/injuries..
Take a look at Autosport's comments....

Pedrosa could miss US GP after crash

By Michele Lostia and Matt BeerSunday, July 13th 2008, 15:22 GMT
MotoGP doctor Claudio Costa has confirmed that Dani Pedrosa could miss next week's Laguna Seca race if the hand injury he sustained in Germany requires surgery.

Pedrosa sustained several injuries to his left hand when he crashed heavily while leading today's extremely wet Sachsenring race.

"It's very delicate matter, because his left hand suffered the fracture of the index with a damage to his extensor tendon. Still on the left hand he also had a capsular lesion and damage to the extensor of his middle finger. He also sprained his ring finger," Dr Costa told Italia1 television.

"An important lesion was blocked and fixed here in the Clinica Mobile, and now he'll go back to Spain and if he gets operated on, then we'll have to talk about Brno (the race after Laguna Seca).

"He also sprained his right ankle, with a detachment of the peroneal malleolus, but that's a very light thing compared to this serious damage to his left hand."

Although Dr Costa did not rule out the possibility of Pedrosa racing in America, he suspected that undergoing surgery and then resting the hand prior to Brno in mid-August might be a better option.

"Risking his left hand at Laguna Seca is possible, but I think this time the doctors will try to fix in the best possible way the delicate lesions to his hand, so he should be back for the Czech Grand Prix, because there's a break in between," he said.

A statement from the Repsol Honda team said that Pedrosa had definitely fractured the top bone in the little finger on his left hand, and that it was possible that his ankle injury was also a fracture. He will see his surgeon Dr Xavier Mir in Barcelona this week.

Dr Costa added that most of the damage occurred when Pedrosa hit the kerb while sliding off the track having already fallen from his Honda, and suggested that the incident could be the cue to examine the run-off facilities at MotoGP venues.

"I think Pedrosa's hand got massacred at that point," said Dr Costa. "In the fall he had a small detachment of the peroneal malleolus. Then he might have come to me with a bruised hand, but not with all these complex lesions.

"I think that's what happened, and this must be pointed out, because when a rider slides, he must have some run-off space, and that's the most important thing. But this run-off space must allow him to slide a long way, without interrupting the course of the fall."

Yeah you right. The grid is getting smaller and smaller. Without Pedrobot and his mentor - Mr. Alberto Puig in the USGP, this forum will be boring as .... and Rossi can run away again with the championship as easy as pie. Of course we still have Casey Stoner though, we need a michelin top rider too to make it fun. Can't see any other top michelin rider at the moment except Pedrosa..

Luckily, he landed on the air fence... if he hit the wall, I don't know what will it be...

Ahhhhh he looks so peaceful
