Put Hill and Hopkins on the same team. Talk about wanting to beat your teammate. (Provided no electronic glitches)

Crescent Suzuki in talks with WSBk to move up from BSB

So if Cresent go up to WSBK then the Rizla team surly wont go down to WSBK?

I can't see suzuki putting two teams in the same series to compete against each other? or will they?

This might just be the glimpse of light that Zooki might just still be in GP next year

Think I read somewhere that this would be their preferred rider line up as well !

He should go to superbike, he'll be in a position to win races (or thereabouts). Being a relative underdog in motogp has already ruined him once

You're right, but I still would like to see him in GP. If LCR would take him, he's be no better or worse than Aoyama. Its a damn ....... shame.

Hopper in blue would be good to watch if Suzuki actually show and can keep up their recent performances (before the crashes...). There's a risk if he goes to WSBK then we wont see him again which would be a shame - he seems to be mentally in the right place despite injury setbacks, so pushing on could be the best thing for him.

So what's happening to the Alstare team then?

They were meant to be looking at either pulling out of sponsoring the Suzuki team and doing a deal with aprilia. I know Pata are going to run a factory backed RSV4 with Eugene Laverty onboard. I assume Alitalia may continue to back the Biaggi team. Perhaps they are pulling out altogether or their will be two Suzuki teams in wsbk, which I doubt

Laverty will be on the full-on factory team with Biaggi as a teammate. There will be a wall down the garage, and they may not be in the same colors (it's rumored Pata may sponsor his bike with the current Pata team finding new sponsorship), but he'll be on the same equipment at Biaggi. Or as "same" as it gets when you're dealing with Biaggi and Aprilia.

Whatever happens with Alstare, they won't be running Suzukis if they remain in WSB. Suzuki pulled the backing and it looks like Crescent will be getting at least a little bit of support. I've heard they were looking to run Aprilias, but that was some time ago. I haven't heard anything recently. Although I've heard Tardozzi is responsible for getting Fabrizio to BMW Italia, that looks to me as an omen that Alstare won't run anything competitive, if at all, in WSB next season.

I did hear that the Aprilia will be a full factory bike. Apparently, the reason they are running a Pata liveried bike is to open up more sponsorship opportunities. The other reason is that as part of Max's contract, he can chose his team mate. Don't think he liked the idea of Norge running on a factory Alitalia bike. Not sure if this is true, you may know a bit more about this than me Austin.

Think Laverty will kick his ass

Don't know much about Biaggi being able to choose his teammate. What I've heard is that Laverty will be in the same team with Biaggi, possibly in different livery, but there will be a wall down the middle. He's taking Camier's seat.

From what I had heard thats the case. Apparently, its a full factory spec ( with technicians ) Aprilia. Its Camier's old seat in a fashion, but with far better support. There is APPARENTLY going to be no preferential treatment for Max.

I suppose you could imagine Max having a clause in his contract which gives him, shall we say, input, into his team mate. Because, this is a ' different ' team, perhaps he had no choice but to accept someone who, on the same equipment, may give him a real good run for his money.

so no suzuki factory bikes in either gp and wsbk?

will crescent at least get some proper support, althea style?

I see what you're saying. Sorry I didn't pick it up earlier. That sounds about the size of it.

The last I had heard, this information is months old but it seems news moves pretty slowly out of Suzuki so it could still be relevant, is that much is dependent on their decision with the MotoGP team. If they stay in MotoGP, they will provide little, if any, support to Crescent. However, if they pull out, Crescent will be getting a fair amount of support. I get the impression Suzuki isn't interested in pouring money into a SBK effort, but Crescent's close ties with the factory should get them at least a little bit of help.

it would be foolish not to support them, if alstare really do pull out or switch bikes crescent would field the only two suzukis in a world championship!
