Don't care. I'd love to see Edwards stick around in GPs and bag a win. Although it's not very likely. I'd also like to see him go back to SBK and get some wins and fight for another title. Regardless, I think he's a very talented rider and actually has a personality of his own so no matter where he rides he'll be entertaining.

I like Colin, he is a great character for the sport of GP. He is a refreshing voice in a sea of prima Donas and marked cookie cutter interview of riders. So I would like to see him stay one more year then hand his seat to Spies. Word on the street is Spies is headed to Yamaha WSBK, I guess MotoGP are happy to promote 7th string token riders rather than serious talent. I doubt the payday Yamaha offered is any different than what Suzuki can pay up. Nice to see their wildcard rider crap out in the first turn in Japan. Real smart move for Suzuki to pass on a proven talent. I guess they are also content with two riders who's time has passed (well Vermi's time actually never arrived).

Stupid Suzuki.

Migs, why do you hate Americans so much? What have they done to upset you? I understand you hate America, but why must you project these feelings to riders who happen to be American. Which of them personify the things you hate about the country. Of the three in GP at the moment (and past one if you wish) which represents the things you hate that you associate with the country? Really, none of them have been known to be arrogant, malicious, poor work ethic, .... talkers, etc. You want to say it was about the money for Spies, but we don't even know if Suzuki offered him a real deal (do you know what the deal was they offered him, please send me the link). Those that have made it to GP have almost all done so through the AMA! Even Colin who later became a WSBK champ raced in the AMA. Spies did well in all his quals and wildcard races. Now compare that to the recent qual and wildcard at Motegi, then ask yourself, did Spies deserve a seat? Suzuki had one finisher in the top ten at Motegi, and that was with the rider (Capi) who had won the previous three years in a row there! Hell, of the three Suzuki riders, only one finished and that was Capi in 6th, Vermi crapped out early.

Look at the other guys that came from WSBK into MotoGP. Bayliss, Haga, Hodgson, Xaus, they all went back. Colin has stuck around and has been pretty much a top 10 or better performer. He started out this year doing great on the satellite Yam, but as Johnny pointed out it seemed like he dropped after the contract was signed. That said, he is still currently the 2nd best non-factory rider behind Dovi who is moving to Repsol. Even with his crappy second half to the season that puts him as the best satellite rider in MotoGP returning next year, not to mention he is performing better then Suzuki and Kawasaki's factory riders. The guy deserves to be in MotoGP if he wants to.

What did you read in my post that makes you think I hate Americans?

Spies won the AMA title on the Yosh suzuki, sorry but that is not impressive at all...given the Yosh is the very best bike on the grid (even when the team don't cheat), and the rules in AMA spoil the chances of other potential great riders...

Spies was reported to have been asking for 2million dollars to ride in GPs, and the only team that could afford his wages was that JiR. Suzuki may or may not have made him the offer, but if they did Spies did not take it....so no Deal for Benny eitherway....

On the subject of other American riders...
- Hopper lots of potential which will never deliver in GPs - He should go back to AMA
- Hayden delivered and now he's free from Honda - Maybe he should give up his Ducati seat for Ben?
- Colin great rider and will retire in his time - Would you really want Beeny boy to go to Tech 3?

No...

Do I hate what America and most Americans have become? Yes

Do I hate the joke series of the AMA? Yes

Does that clarify?

It is difficult to hate Americans when you are one yourself....

Back on topic....
Does Ben Spies suffer from an Oedipus complex?

You may want to visit a shrink, you obviously have self esteem issues. You are not that bad of a person, no need to hate yourself.
