Being the diplomatic type myself ...... I would never have said anything as honest as that!!

Maybe Kocinski was a prophet too

I do sometimes wonder what Hopper is doing there ... oops there it goes I let is slip out, damn diplomacy ...

Cue the hate >>>>

But also I think again these young guys are just what is needed in MGP ...... they are so intense that even spoiling their momentum pisses them off ....... thats what it takes I guess
<

When they start getting "get out of the racing line gandpa!" signals from the kids, history shows its time to go .... Eg. Barros ....Checa ...... Hopper must be pissed .

Barry, you would have just said "Hopkins isnt an Aussie, he must be ....."

And come on Barry, Barros and Checa were old, but, they did win GPs

Bring Lil John in to run the show.

yeah but that doesn't explain West though does it??

He's an Aussie and he's even slower than Hoppers!!

I seriously wonder what Kawasaki is playing at some times with those two.

They got one rider who seems to only work in the wet and another who had to bring along a dowry to get the ride
<
<

Edit: and while I'm at it complaining about slow Aussies too .... what about CV ..... he's like a hot/cold tap!! ..... only at the moment he's stuck on blue.

I think you read me wrong about "patriotism" Pete ..... I would much rather go for a decent rider from wherever than follow the expoits of a slug for the sake of the honour of a country I spend half the time disagreeing with on policy anyway

Yeah but I'm over the "he used to be good" thing, I'd rather see a series whereby the fastest riders out there are on display. Riders who are there "for old times sake" are taking up seats. I guess I agree with Kocinski in that respect.

Maybe a cap of 1 year on contract time length is the way to go? They could, and would, renegotiate after a year to keep good riders, or find a faster guy or at least take the risk in finding a faster guy.

The fact that all the rookies came in and slotted in mid pack to top says a lot to me about how stagnant the selection of riders has been for a while now.

Oh and on the who's gunna whoop who's ass thing ....... I think we will see that this weekend anyway.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Jumkie @ Apr 10 2008, 11:40 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>It doesn't have nothing to do with that at all, but I do agree with the rest of your statement. Even then, its interesting to read about the schoolyard fun. It makes the vast time between races more entertaining.

I find the whole episode a good example of how riders are in general, club or world series.
First I find it very amusing that Lorenzo must be convinced that he has a lot to learn Hoppkins if he follows. Then of course it's the usual hot headed behaviour. Ref. point system: Get used to it Tom, riders, in general, are not calulators. One way to put it; you would not put them in your engineering team.

I think that would cause a lot of trouble with experienced riders being abused to develop bikes and then booted for younger, faster guys as soon as poosible.

Yeah I agree its harsh ...... but its kinda the basis of Darwinian evolution
