Chaz was dropped because..
Japanese Superbike champion Itoh will hop on the Ducati GP7 for the race at Motegi in place of Briton Chaz Davies, who was due to step in before he suffered a reaction to a tetanus ... administered after a crash at the final round of the US series last weekend.
Team boss Luis D'Dantin said of the decision to omit Davies: "We are very sorry that this had happened, but it is the way with racing.
We are still looking at trying to get Chaz with us for the three remaining races. We will know after Motegi."
