"Revs are up, ready for a start" is the opening gambit of Charlie Cox every single MotoGP race. I have heard this line so many times in the last 10-12 years, I now have to mentally blank his banal comment.

Not only is he one of the most boring commentators I have ever heard, but he is obsessed with talking about cars (with himself, thankfully) during nearly every single race! Today, he was talking about the DRS system employed in Formula Yawn. Yes Mr Cox, how would you see that being a benefit on a motorcycle? Cut holes in the rear cowling, with movable flaps inside, and a button on the handlebars to close the flaps on a designated straight!

Does David Coulthard talk about the design of the fairing of a bike during an F1 race, I doubt it?

To add insult to injury, I couldn't watch any live GP races on my preferred channel, Eurosport. I had to endure the just as equally dull Harris and Emmett. Why can't the Beeb have the fortitude to poach Moody and Ryder from Eurosport and make their show much more entertaining? Keep Matt Roberts in pit lane, not sure what I'd do with Azi. The Beebs show has gone downhill since Suzi Perry quit, at least she knew her stuff and had a good rapport with all the riders.

So Mr Cox, do us all a favour and retire with Skippy and drive off into the outback never to be heard again.

It's O.K. - Rog and I sorted them out at Laguna

What a laugh we had winding those 2 up. Got to say Parish took it well and made us look like a right pair of gimps, even though it was at his mate Charlie's expense. I still laugh when i think of that moment

I liked Randy Mamola. He's kinda dumb in the way he presents himself and gets drilled by the 2 other commentators unbeknownst to him ( cuz Mamola isn't the brightest bulb on the christmas tree, at less how the world of commentator's goes)....... but he adds character. Mamola would speak his mind even though sometimes he comes off as not soo bright guy, hahahaha.

Both Parish and Cocks are rubbish.

Charlie sounds like he is eating and trying to commentate at the same time. Weird.

Parish is the 'knowledgeable' one, yet still repeats stuff like 'Stoner was fast on the Ducati because of traction control' I .... you not.

Cox commentating on today's battle for third place, "Four laps left to go, three left when they cross the stripe."

That's funny, I always thought it was the rider in the lead(12 seconds in front) that dictated how many laps left!?

Be grateful with what you have....the way the Beeb are messing with the red button in the future,well........

BBC Boom Red button streams gone from satellite 6 down to 1

just like freeview 1 stream now and bbc say there still show red button stuff F1.Glastonbury.the proms. timbledon.

What annoyed me was when Cox said something along the lines of, going with your mantra Steve, to finish first, first you have to finish. Steve's mantra? Seriously? Good old Murray Walker was saying that decades ago on the F1!!! Did they think no one would notice? I sure did!!
