Casey Stoner

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Burky @ Jul 2 2007, 08:58 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>It's great to be on the edges of our seats again isn't it?

I've been on the edge of mine since Jerez 2006!

I hate to be smug (well not really!), but those early season performances were never lucky, the bike, the tyres.....or any other excuse for Valentino being beaten. This kid is awesome, and I recall last year despite regularly throwing it down the road he was also regularly on a charge toward the front.

This weekend has now silenced every doubter........"Wait till we get to Laguna......wait till we get to a track without long straights......wait till we find another lame excuse!"

Casey this weekend was all dominant, completely in a class of his own with only CV showing signs of being capable of keeping him in sight. Does anybody out there now believe that Casey will not be World Champion soon? I don't think so!

Roll on 2008, because this one is done and dusted!

But...but...but... everyone knows the Ducati is the fastest thing EVER on a track with a straight longer than 2meters!!!
<

It has to be Marlboro sponsorship! Because now he's just 'smoking' the competition, both on and off the track.

Sorry for that

I'll agree with the Methamphetimine theory coz you obviously know what you are talking about when it comes to drugs.

Who am I to argue with an expert?

Again fair comment. CSAVW as a great Australian recently said (you may not agree with my assessment of him) patriotism is defensible, nationalism is not.

Casey has done a great job so far. I can remember watching him last season, and thinking ''damn he's talented, but he makes too many errors''. Well, that isn't the case anymore. He has improved A LOT, no more silly mistakes. He's still young, I'm pretty sure he will win more titles in his career, I definitely think he will win this season, and that would be deserved!! The Stoner-Ducati combi is just too good, simple as that, just like the Rossi-Honda combi was great too.

Well yes, you are right Rog my old sparring buddy, but I think the unmentionable has to happen if the others are going to catch him now.

All the questions raised earlier in the year have now been answered, so I feel only a large slice of extremely bad luck can stop him now.

And despite what happens, my suntan is still better than yours!!!

Yep, agreed!!!!

Don't see it going wrong for Stoner anymore. The gap is too big, and this season isn't like last one, where Rossi still had chances, Stoner is too good, no way he's losing out, I cant see that happening.

I'd say he have the best odds, but strange things have happened before.
An injury, or two DNFs is all it takes to turn the table.
Most are waiting for "something" to happen, and it usuelly does, but if it doesn't the CS is in the box. He is, as you say too good to waste it with bad results.

Sorry, I've been away, and I can't keep up with the posts!

So..............Casey Stoner............what a win! Totally dominant!
Can Casey keep this up?
Have the new school landed?
What do you reckon?

Now to check on the fantasy league, see who's up for my first prize of the season. It won't be coming back to me! Colin, oh Colin, what happened!!!!!

Colin crashed and YES, I think the new school has landed!

Sorry for the exageration, not. .... me,the seasons 3 races old and people are wanking over Stoner.I like the kid,he,s quick,he has talent and an excocet missile under his boney ...,but HE WILL NOT WIN THE CHAMPIONSHIP THIS YEAR. I notice you erred away from mentioning the the ability gap should they switch bikes.
