nor do i but this next race will be a good one cos it doesnt have a 1000+ metre straight lol jk , and no the new school hasnt landed ok casey is on form but that doesnt mean it will last for ever, ill make my mind up after this season and maybe the next cos winning a few races doesnt make him the a legend.
( how can you say the new school has landed after a couple of wins?), casey rode a great race and deserved to win 100% but i heard rossi had a prob with the left side of his tyre is that true? , i feel that the yamaha isnt the rite bike for rossi or he hasnt found the good setup he needs, i much prefered his sideways cornering on the days of the honda
<
, casey has the perfect bike and setup for his needs obviously look at last season lol, dont you just love that beautifull ducati awesome speed and aero-dynamics and all that

anyways time for sleep oh and by the way no venemous replies

I agree with you regarding the new generation. They start to make an impression but there are still are some "old school" guys there. BTW. how old are Rossi now? 27? was that about the age Jermey McWilliams started racing. Not exactly too old.

The Yamaha however, have only one proplem and that's power. Look at the qualifying times. Rossi leads that by a mile. Quite different from last year. His complaint about the left side is the same as their start problems, the michelins take some time too heat up, and with few leftside corners it never reaches or stay at optimum temp on that side.
He didn't do too bad in the leftys, but he did miss the apex when pasing stoner and lost a litte in those lefthanders when in lead but nothing serious, just enough to get noticed.

"Catalunya's 1km main straight was perfect Ducati territory and Stoner unleashed Ducati horsepower to regain the advantage along the straight"

"Stoner has also said that some of Rossi's overtaking manouvers were questionable", What does he expect Vale to do? just let him pass (i think Stoner is a bit of a whinger)

Quotes from the world's motorcycling press.

If Rossi and Stoner had the SAME equipment and dont forget that Stoner is only slightly bigger than Pedrosa, with all being equal Rossi would beat him. If you have a differing opinion i would love to hear how you think Stoner could beat Rossi

SP1, Now with crash damage, so am looking for a 2005 Blade

I like Casey because he is one of the few riders out there who can beat the best riders in Moto GP like Rossi for example. I never thought he beat Rossi in any of the races but he proved me wrong.

maybe very slightly off topic but why has no-one picked up on Stoners complaints about Rossi's passing manoevres ? Generally it seems that a lot of people condemned Rossi for complaining about Elias's passing manoevre a few GPs ago yet when Stoner complains about Rossi's passing (which to me looked fine, no fairing bashing etc) he doesn't get condemned at all -- why is this I wonder ?

very good question skint ( good handle by the way and welcome to the forum)
personally i think rossi got a bit of a bashing because it was so out of character for him to make a complaint about another rider, i believe stoner has done it many times so "nothing new to talk about".

I think the comment refers to turn 1 at the start of the 3rd last lap when Rossi came in from the outside and almost swept Stoners front wheel. Stoners comments concluded with the statement that he doesn't mind those moves because it is what hard racing is all about.

At the time I thought that was a very aggressive move but then it was a very aggressive race. Both riders were trying to dominate and this is what makes it so good to watch.

It came up in a another thread. Valentino's move was 100% fair, no doubt about it. Both of them are playing the game. Rossi made a few hard moves in that race purely to unsettle Stoner all of which were 100% above board in my view. But they didn't work. I do think for Stoner to mention some of Rossi's passes as 'questionable' isn't a whinge at all Rog, he's really having good old verbal dig at Valentino. But, the most important dig in that comment is....<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>'trying to stamp his authority on races with some of the moves he does, a few might be a bit questionable.'Seems like Stoner's saying Rossi thinks he's the boss, that he can only try to stamp his authority on Stoner, but won't be able to. Interseting that Stoner seem's to be instigating a war of words with Rossi. I'm looking forward to the post race comments even more now.

I agree with you here Skid. This is not whining, more like a start of a good old mind battle. The fact that Rossi trys to dominate is hardly surprising, and while he succeeded with Pedrosa he has not with Stoner.

And where Stoner has an unquestionalble strong position, he said this out of strength, as in attacking, and not like Haydens, defencive "Numbers...."
The development the next few races will be very interesting. To bad both Donington and Assen look like wet-races right now. That make it into a lottery. It's the kind of situation where the luck seems to have it's own will and not something you make for your self.
