I agree. Not only respected but disrespected. I wonder if Rossi will be this hot of a topic when he is gone. Or should I say done racing, he will never be gone. Say what you want about my opinion of Stoner, I admire what he has done on many levels.
Kurt Cobain was a ...... musician who couldn’t play a half decent solo but is considered to be a legend because... let’s say he “retired early”.

Im sure a lot of it is he left as the premier rider in the series . As bad as Rossi fans wanted to hate him, they absolutely knew what kind of talent he was and were over the moon that he was leaving. What they didn’t know was what was on the horizon. It was like exorcising a demon only to be replaced by the devil himself.

The people who were happy he is gone are the same people who boo podiums and cheer crashes. They aren't true fans. Leaving with so much talent leaves a lot of speculation of what could have been. Whether you love him or hate him, you can't possibly say the racing is better without him. Closer sometimes but not better.
By Rossi and everyone else who can manage to put in more than 10 laps without a trail of liquid feces erupting from their rear end in spectacular fashion.
