Cal Crutchlow talks to GPOne (good fun interview)

Sounds drunk as usual :drinks: :drunk:

Funny, but I've been thinking he's been at so many post race interviews that he's started to adopt the meter and mannerisms of fellow riders for whom English is not a first language. Instead of saying, I didn't run a good race or ride a good race, he says I didn't "make" a good race and stuff like that. Although to be honest, even early on in his career, I wasn't convinced that English was his first language.

He's from Coventry, midlanders have never got hold of the English language properly. He is sounding more Spanish than a Spaniard though.

Pretty amazing really, how many different distinct accents there are in the UK. One of my faves is the West Yorkshire accent. When I hear it it makes me want to raise sheep and knit tea cozies.

At a guess I'd say there are over 100 regional accents in the UK. What I can't get though is I really struggle with his accent yet when I was at uni in Durham I could understand Geordie ( I can't now though, guess its because I am going deaf).

Your right Crutchpig speaks a type of Euro Eennglisssh - it's to make
Up for the fact that he has limited
Language choices compared to the majority of non Brit riders. Smith and Redding are going the same way

Coming from someone that evidently struggles to assemble a coherent sentence.

:cold: Wow, he makes me cringe... I realise he's surrounded by Spanish and Italian but I really don't think this voice thing is normal!! Maybe you'd find yourself slipping into it now and then but does he not listen to this stuff back and realise he sounds like a .......
