Noticed refund was in my account this morning. Took a while but got there in the end.
Hope everyone else on here has managed to get theirs by now as well.

Sure, I'll pay more for food when I'm not home. And beer. Merchandise? I don't see how this would fit in here.

I fail to see logic here. You have to travel to get to the races and you need to eat. Buying crap is not mandatory.

All I'm saying is Silverstone have done well to refund ticket prices for Sunday.

You seemed to suggest that they could also refund gasoline, hotel and travel expenses.

My point was somewhat tongue in cheek. Maybe lost in translation.

Have a good day, the races are on!

Pretty simple logic. The vendor is responsible for what he sold you. Other costs are your responsibility.

Logically you need to eat wherever you are.

Whilst I amn't happy about the money spent on travelling and camping, the fact is I got the fuel I paid for and I got the camping I paid for. I didn't get the races I paid for so that has been refunded. Also the reason the £20 extra on a weekend ticket hasn't been refunded. We got practise and qualifying.

Whoever is responsible for the debacle of the weekend, Silverstone or the folk that carried out the botch job, I can't expect them to be responsible for all other costs. As much as I'd like them to be.

Silverstone refund

I paid for Starting Grid hospitality as a 50th Birthday present for my husband and have been offered what I think is an unacceptable amount as I don’t think it even covers the basic Sunday ticket.
Could anyone tell me how much you paid for the Sunday ticket please so I can see if they’re being fair.
Thanks.

Suggest you phone the toll free customer service number on the back of your credit card and open a dispute for the full amount. You are legally entitled to a full refund.

On the day tickets were £115
I'm getting £80 refund as it was an early booking weekend ticket.

Thanks for the info.
I’ve emailed them back with what I’d like refunded so will see what they say.
If it’s not enough I’ll get in touch with the credit card company.

No bloody reason you should not get a full refund. They're a billion dollar company and they're insured for stuff like this.
