Bridgestone 2010

Well at last! ........ maybe JB is working on it already

.... only time willl tell if theyhave fixed it though.

There is allways a fatal flaw in any theories such as your 2010 Bridgestone tyre theory, ie. why are there other riders doing real well on them
<

Actually, my "theory" tried to explain that saying that riders who are strong in corner entry are likely to suffer more from the lack of the hard body tire than riders with a smooth riding style (Lorenzo) or stronger in corner exit (Pedrosa).

Sadly the Duc has been so messed up that it didn't seem to matter which tyre they put on it, indeed Stoner could not tell which tyre to run.

But they have fiddled with the front/rear balance and now, Stoner is back on the extra hard for a race.

But I do think they do not have enough tyre choice at each round now. A symptom of going 1 tyre supplier.

Harder front tire benefits two people imo: 1. Lorenzo who rides a very aggressive cornerspeed style and who scrubs off a lot of speed with the front 2. Pedrosa who prefers a slightly higher forward weight bias b/c that's what Honda have always had (mass centralization is more front end than an L-twin Ducati).

This was confirmed by Spalding during today's race. Pedrosa is on a derivation of last years chassis, a chassis that Spalding says Honda don't want him to use.

The hard compounds are working miracles for Dani b/c he can put more weight over the front, and that's what is giving him such a big acceleration advantage. Until this weekend, Stoner has been unable to put more weight over the front end without sacrificing a good deal of speed.
