Like all vermin, rodents, insects, parasites, etc., they like dark murky places to lurk; ah but nothing makes them scrabble more than simple light. Exposing their ........ is like kriptonite.

This bizarre, pathetic, desperate attempt to associate one's self with a celebrity or team is typical of those cursed with Bopper Psychosis. How many times have we heard some wild-eyed cheerleader at work or school bragging about how "We Won!" last night's big game. I often say something like, "What's with this 'WE' crap, hero? I didn't see you all suited up, getting smashed into the ground by a 300lb linebacker." At that, the cheerleader invariably glares at me and skulks off to be with others of their kind. (They're kinda like rats and cockroaches in this regard!) Maybe that explains the lack of friends, eh?

You Boppers sure are a self-conscious, defensive bunch!

Is it possible to enjoy a race as a spectacle of speed, skill, bravery, and competition, without all the mindless jingoism, hero-worship and ego stroking?
