don't take insults personal if you're for real, i think i speak for the whole forum when i say people who use this place as ad boards are not welcome

bmw have always said they would consider joining gps after they start winning in wsbk. now that even the title is a possibility in wsbk and rule changes for 2014 are sure it looks good. my guess would be they definately will join but not before 2014/2015

Dude, I wasn't advertising, I saw the helmet and I am totally in love with it. That's reason why I sheared it, don't care the website it is on. I fully understand your attitude towards spammers, but the other topics received just a little too much hostility in my opinion. I am a very proud s1000rr owner and a rossi fan as you can see, who loves to talk about motoGP.

Can't wait to see my Brand kick some motoGP ...!!

They are looking hot now in WSBK everyone involved is very happy with the progress.

I believe a special poster has even been made, the 1st in years.

But I will reserve my vote till after Sachsenring

If BMW are smart, they will come to the show with Leon Haslam.

Welcome to the forum.

I see another two years at Ducati and done.

Beemer won't come in early enough for him to even consider it IMO

You could be right... don't see him competing much longer then that.

Welcome to the forum.

He's definitely a fantastic rider, but do you think he is good enough to compete against Lorenzo, Pedrosa and others in motoGP?

GP is about parity a bit more so than Wsbk. If you're not on a factory Jap bike, you're toast. Nobody thought Cal would ever compete with Pedro. I consider Haslam better than Cal. So to answer your question, yes, on equal machine.

That's arguable.

Results cal:

2010 - 5th

Results haslam:

2009 - 6th

2010 - 2nd

2011 - 5th

Haslam probably rides on the best bike in the Wsbk. Cal is improving so quickly, as you said if not riding on a Jap factory bike you're toast. Wonder if Haslam would have got the same results as Cal did so far?

Haslam would be a Wsbk champ if Suzuki wouldn't have stopped to take a giant ..... BMW the best bike in Wsbk? Are you kidding? BMW have been .... up until recently. And even then with their improvements, Ducati and Aprillia still clearly the best. BMW may be about 3rd or 4th. Cal's stint was short in the big boy class of Wsbk, but while there he was on a very good Yamaha. Both riders are good. But personally give the edge to Haslam.

The year they went head to head:

Maybe you're right, maybe not. Guess they would have to compete man to man in the motoGP to find that out. Either way, both riders are having a great season. It doesn't really matter to me which driver they come up with, it just would be great to see them entering the motoGP.

Would love to see the Yamahas and Honda repsols getting some serious competition, if you see how quickly they are taking over the WSBK, they should form a serious threat to the japanese teams I hope

Wsbk 'lets' other manufactures win the title every now and then. But its still a Ducati cup. BMW would do well to take what they've learned and first get a Wsbk title with Haslam. Then...move on to GP. I think thats what Dorna is eventually aiming for with the CRT class anyway. The more the marry as I was wearing my BMW shirt yesterday coincidently. This shirt courtesy of my buddy Wilski who sent it to me.
