Well I know I'm a noob here, but excuse me I really need to vent my spleen about this guy.

This .... is the only rider in in the MotoGP field I just can't respect, his petty antics have actually endanged other riders, I really think he has got a screw loose. How dangerours was that Melandri incident at TT, stopping to do a practice start on the racing line geez.

Then the punch up with Hayden his team mate for god sake, in testing this year.

Also trying to elbow Rossi off the track going down the straight at 300 kph. I dispise the guy he's gonna kill someone one day.

Mind you I do get a lot of pleasure seeing him fail, everytime I read the practice time sheets and see him 13th position which is often I do have a good laugh. And when he falls off it does make the next swallow of beer much nicer.

Cant really say i hate him but he is a moaner, but also a very interesting character, have you ever seen 'Faster'?

IMHO he was a great rider in 250 I personally think that he came to MotoGP late and at the wrong time with the likes of Vally dominating..

If you havnt already watch the "Faster DVD they bang on for a while about the rivalry between him and Vally which is interesting to view.

On his day Max is great to watch, but agree somewhat of late he has done some silly things and is now getting on...33?

Maybe he will slowly fade over the next couple of years.

Would be interesting to see but would he be any good? has he ever ridden a superbike?

One thing i would have loved to have seen a few years ago would have been Rossi on the factory 998 Ducati, i bet they asked him in '99 or 2000.
 
I don't think Biaggi will ever ride a Superbike. He doesn't like 4 strokes as it is, not nearly as much as 2 strokes anyways. I just don't see him moving to a series below to ride bikes he won't like. I think once he bows out of MotoGP in the next few years he will be done.

I too get a good chuckle out of Max when I see him lying in 16th after QP especially after his antics with Rossi, Hayden and Melandri. But after watching Faster and Faster 2003/04 he becomes a bit more human. It's hard to hate anyone when they become a bit more personal.
 
Max is ok, he is character and risk's his skin like the rest for our pleasure,so that aint that bad,these days he normally that far behind he does'nt do any harm,and now sete is there,that old rivalry with rossi has been slightly diluted !

I saw "Faster!" and I still think Max is a tool. I met him at laguna and he was the only rider that was rude and unfriendly. He probably just thinks he's better than us Americans, but whatever.

I asked him nicely for an autograph and he yelled some italian mumbo jumbo at me and stomped away all pissed off.

The next day he was just walking around in the AMA paddock area, i ran into him and walked backwards for likely 150 feet asking him to sign the shirt i was wearing that was a redbull usgp event shirt with other signatures on it as well. this is how it went down...

"max! can you please sign my shirt?" holds out sharpie and points to shirt

"no. no sign."

"please max, please sign my shirt for me!"

"no sign.

"yes sign, please!"

"no sign" italian mumbles

"yes, sign."

"NO SIGN!"

"YES SIGN"

"ARGH, FINE I SIGN!" scribbles, pretty much throws marker at my face, mumbles and cries in italian, stomps off all pissy..."

He's just crabby. these people need to realize that without fans they'd be paying for track time.
 
Even on Faster he does seem quite uptight and arrogant. Not all the guys are guna be smilee happy guys are they? even to the fans. If he is genuinely like that then he will be like that all the time.

I watched faster the other day actually and the bit where Vale and Max have a scrap is funny. Pity it was on a stairway and you couldnt see anything tho, i would have payed money to see that!

General, We have had the same thing with max a couple of years a go! My sister (wearing a rossi cap, maybe that's the reason...) asked him if he would go on a picture with her, he just said NO and he practically ran away

later that after noon, a couple of belgiums had the same problem, but the really grabbed max of his scooter and had to almost forced max to go on a picture.. At that time he really seemed a bit arrogant..

but I don't hate Max, I think his mentality is just changed in the last years. Younger drivers have, I assume, a big drive to do very good in a race and they all work their ... of to finish as high as possible. even the older guys, like bayliss, edwards (if you even can call them 'old') do have a strong drive. But max now seems to be satisfied with an 8 place, even though he could end up on 5.

ofcourse, he does his best, but he's not the same racer as in the beginning. can't say he's still the Emperor

I don't like Max too much either. He's inconsistant. Some races good, some bad. Sometimes he qualifies good, sometimes not. I thought that with Repsol, he was getting to be a little bit more bearable, but after the Melandri and the WCM rider incident, I am back to not having too much respect for him.

I also saw him at Laguna after all the races had finished, but didn't even bother asking him for an autograph. Instead, I asked for a pic Pete Benson (Nicky's crew chief) who was standing near Max.
 
I think Max is ok...He has done some stupid things but he is insanely passionate about his craft. Can't fault him for that but I think his best days are behind him...

But I better pull my head in, really I just gotta respect anyone who rides one of those 990 beasts. I havn't been able to afford pay TV for the last couple of years until last month (motogp is on free to air here whew) and and havn't seen SBK for a few years I saw it the other day I was shocked how slow they are, incomparason to the sheer impressiveness of the 990 acceleration wow

On a more sensable note about Baggi, if he is normally that arrogant in the past this year must be under huge huge pressure having the works Honda and really not going well. The wheels are really falling off especaillly after all his bleating on about getting a works bike. He's under serious pressure, it amazing he can live with himself. Really it must have been so easy for Rossi to play mind games with him

I will get faster and watch.

Saw an interview with Max ,Suzi Perry I think,few weeks ago.It seems like he`s bewildered by the new breed of fighters in mgp.Remember ,he had it pretty much his own way in 250`s,with no disrespect to his rivals then.

I just want to add my thoughts!! I really like Max and apart from all the bad press he gets he seems really nice to me. I got an email from him the other day and the fact that he made the effort to send me one was great!!

The bad press he gets he brings on himself, I can only respect him riding one of those 990's as for respecting as a bloke not a chance, putting other guys in danger like that in one of the most dangerous sports around is just unacceptable, he can only have a screw or 2 loose.

I think perhaps the only reason you got a reply is perhaps you put a Miss/Mrs on you letter
