i read in this weeks motorcycle news of the possible return of max to motogp.now is this because rossi is either going to move to f1 or retire altogether.the way i see it is max will not have much of a rival if / when vale goes so he see s this as a golden oppertunity for possible world champion in the premier class.

not much rival?? I totally disagree! pedrosa, hayden, gibernau, capirossi, melandri, elias (and anybody else I left out) are and will be the biggest rivals of eachother IF vale leaves. biaggi will have to step up the plate if he returns in 07... what I don't see to happen: last year he rode on one of the best bikes at that moment and he coudn't compete with rossi/capirossi/melandri or his team mate hayden. his aditude is also one thing that left him with no place on the grid this year.

it's sad that he had no oppurtinity to compete in the motogp or in any other types of races this year. he was quite a character. but it was time to move for him and to make place for other younger riders.I hope he finds a place in an other raceclass next year

he's not coming back to gp's. nobody would have him. not unless it was a new manufacturer willing to be slagged everytime he could'nt perform, which would be most if not all the time. fer sure he won't be on any japanese machinery.

I think he's got a 50/50 shot. There are a lot of rumors of him going to WSB for 2007 which I would believe and I also believe he's got a shot at coming back to GPs. He certainly won't set the world on fire but he wouldn't be a bad guy to have when developing a new 800cc machine. Especially if you are pretty new to the game, some names come to mind like KTM or BMW. As far as rivals go, he won't have any real rivals because his old rivals (Rossi and Hayden) will be at the front and he'll struggle to find top fives.

He's a whinging little tosser. He won't be back in GP's except in the case of developing a new bike and even that's only a remote possibility. There are quite a few guys capable of that job who would be easier to pay and easier to put up with. It's far more likely he'll go to WSB, even that would surprise me. The ego is huge. Next year Max won't be the only 'ex-GP' guy looking for a job in superbikes and this year he couldn't agree terms with anybody and made far to many outrageous demands. I'm positive it's his publicist/manager stirring up the rumour mill to get people talking about him in the hope that the phone will ring, that's the way it works. One of the best 250 riders ever though.

according to the mcn which is a bike paper here in the uk then biaggi is set to get a new team and totally newly developed bike..it doesnt say too much at present as im sure you can understand..also jeremey mcwilliams as been snapped testing a bmw 800cc machine for possible entry into 07 gp.

Yeah, I'm sure he wouldn't hesitate to point out faults and criticize, it's what he's best at.

I think some great points have been made here. He wouldn`t be a good choice for a new manufacturer in GP because, like Skid said he`d be too expensive, because he thinks he`s worth it. And like Frosty said, he`d slag them whenever he dosent get his desired finish, whether its their fault or his. And like winner said, who cares about the .......?

A comeback in GP is unlikely. He`ll never be a world champ, even if Rossi leaves. Maybe the Max of a few years ago could do it, but now he`s past his prime, and his skill was replaced with more and more whinging. Not to mention the fact that he DOES have strong rivals, and if it weren`t fo Rossi, I doubt there would have been any back to back champions since the turn of the Century. Then again, you couldn`t predict somthing like that, there`s too many variables.
As for SBK, I`d rule that out because, unlike Barros, or Bayliss, or Haga or any of the ex-gp superbikers, with Biaggi you gotta consider the pride as well. I think hes capable of a move to SBK, but I don`t think he`ll do it simply because he`s too bloody arrgant to go to a class that he sees as second best.

I don't think he is going to return to motogp, but you never say never so maybe he joins a smaller team -that is going to happen if his pride allows it- or his going to SBK- or a new team. No Honda for him maybe he gets a new entry team seat that's my guess maybe BMW or any other team willing to have a big name in the team.
I perssonaly hope he stays where he is now

. I'm more that happy without him in motogp.

Couldnt agree more Capriex. Keep him and his whinging about his bikes and competitors outta my ears

aahh you got to give biaggi some credit for what he has achieved in the past! it IS a pity not having him in any race class, he always has some rumours around him or an uncle to fight with other mechanics/riders
<
I agree that he probably never will return to the gp's, but the motogp has also lost a man who always draws lots of attentions

I can remember the days that the rumours where going that he and rossi where fighting behind the podium (yes, real fighting, like beating eachother) and not shaking hands on the podium etc, now that's something that I always will remember about max and rossi and their temperaments

According to his book it was a fight. They exchanged punches, slaps and shoves and their apology at the following grand prix was forced by Dorna and the two teams.
