Biaggi's big save was after beating Doohan wasn't it? before Rossi moved to 500s, could be wrong, but I thought it was about 98 or 99.
One of my faves was from the British GP around 1980, Mamola and Roberts, I think Roberts one the race, but when they were on the slowing down lap, they formation wheelied, and Mamola went on further than Roberts. MCN ran a cartoon about 2 bike cops called Mamola and Roberts wheelieing their BMWs after that one! A classic.
Sorry if this post appears a bit vague in places, but as you know, I dont use Google. Poor memory is a far more valid reason for mistakes than inability to type into a search engine correctly!

If you look really carefully at that youtube vid of Max's god-wheelie, he doesn't actually drag tail. He probably just pinched the rear brake to recover before dragging vertebrae.
When rossi stood up on the seat and pulled a wheelie, was that Jerez 2003? i remember melandri trying to do it when he won his first motogp race in turkey
