Who are the best riders in the world that have never won a world superbike or MotoGP/500cc world title?

Just off the top of my head:-

Aaron Slight.

Sete Gibernau?

Aaron Slight is on there, how about Anthony Gobert? Randy Mamola? Are we counting support classes such as Supersport, 250s and 125s? If we aren't I think Daijiro Kato should be on the list. How about Nori Haga? He's been pretty low lately but back in 2000 he could not be stopped... unless by doping tests. Miguel Duhamel and Doug Chandler perhaps? I'm not real familiar with DC's GP history but I know Duhamel got the short end of the stick when he left for the 500s and if he would have gotten a fair shake at a good ride the Doohan era may have been a bit different.

Are we talking about just track racers.......and as Oosst says just MotoGP or WSB?

motoGP > hmmmmm, will have a think.

I have the most respect for the TT lads > David Jefferies?

Dont forget, the bbc are doing an hours show on the TT this sunday before the race

Yeah I go with Mamola, Slighty, Gobert, and Daryl Beattie who had some good battles with Doohen.

I was thinking about this over the weekend, what about Max Biaggi?

I think hes 4times world 250 champ Ooost. Which i think is why he'l never be motoGP champ. He rides the big bikes too much like the 250's. Great character tho.

True, prime example of what happens when you stick in a support level class. Talent and the learning curve stall.

I know this is not in one of the catergories started in this thread.

But I will certainly like to mention Ralf Waldmann in the 250cc class.
