Remember, Rossi was NOT new to GP when he went up to the big class. He was ALREADY a darling of the sport and its executives. But this is a fact that most Rossi fans cannot and will not accept. All they see is, ‘Rossi the GOAT’. So the only ever explanation for him losing 06 & 07 is: luck, misfortune, inferior equipment, etc. This has been the battle cry since I joined this site, and I'm sure it was even before that. So when you say you are making an "honest" post, well in part I believe you, but in part I see that the paradigm of the typical Rossi fan is so ingrained into the psyche that even an "honest" Rossi fan cannot see through the bias that others detect.
I’d say during the last two seasons this very argument has dominated 90% of all debates. Ask yourself, WHY IS THAT? Here is my answer: Because the many Rossi fans cannot accept, will not accept, that Rossi gets beat and got beat.
Funny thing is, most of us already know this is so over, but yet, here we are buddy.
yeah i know most of the points you make are true about the special flown in tyres, first to get the upgraded parts etc... i wasnt gettin into the stoner vs rossi debate dam that ....'s done my head in last 2 seasons LOL, rossi deserved the title in 08 just like stoner deserved it in 07 and nicky in 06 thats why we have the points table.
i will admit at first i didnt like it when stoner won maybe i set my expectations to high who knows... or even blinded by my rossi shades lmao... i was just stating about the m1 vs gp8 and the points which the bikes are stronger than eachother.
im gettin bored with the rossi vs stoner debate to be honest, at the moment im more interested in seing some racing cos 08 was boring and so was 07 apart from laguna and not cos rossi won i wanted that race to go to the wire... i was actually pissed when stoner ran wide cos thats the most excitement i had since the rossi vs capirossi battle.
i do think tho that it was stoner's fault he was falling off after laguna trying to run from rossi cos he didnt want to get into a 1 on 1.
i hope with everyone on same tyres it will even the odds and we may atleast see some dam racing.. not just rossi and stoner but dovi, pedro, lorenzo, i just want to see a 5+ rider battle at the front.
even tho i worship rossi most of the races he won last season bored off my moob's and i even said that after most races.
stoner rode like a demon and in 07 and rossi in 08 but in 09 i want to see someone work hard for there title... to have to fight for it.
another thing is sattelite teams are given a unfair chance, i think they should have the same kit as the factory bikes and if that makes it to expensive for teams then factory machines should loose some of there advantages... if everyone can use the same tires then why cant everyone have the same spec machines to even the odd's ???
well next season im just hoping for some racing cos arguing is gettin boring for me....
